I have received a solicitation to pay $267.33 for a suspended license in the state of Florida. This is not a valid complaint. My license was never suspended. I believe that they are scamming people. I will also file a complaint with the police.

All court fines and fees are assessed in accordance with Florida law and other applicable legal authorities prior to our firm becoming involved. Our firm has been hired by Broward County, FL to collect these amounts after they become delinquent. After receiving notice of this complaint, we took immediate action to research the matter and get in touch with our client. From these efforts we have determined that according to Court records the case balance is due. Attached is a copy of some additional case information that is also available on the client’s website ****************************. We would be happy to speak with the complainant over the phone to further assist in resolving this matter. They can call 888-703-5315 and speak with one of our call center representatives.

I have received 2 emails from Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP regarding an unpaid toll from a state that I do not reside in. The email appears suspicious because of a few reasons. First and foremost, I am curious how they acquired my email address from a license plate number. License plate numbers are attached to registered owner's addresses. I would expect to receive any notifications of this nature via registered or certified USPS mail rather than email. Secondly, the email was not specific as to the date, location, and time of the tolled highway/road/street where it is alleged that I did not pay a toll. They also did not include my license plate number or vehicle make and model in the email. In fact, the information provided was so vague that it prompted suspicion. With all the recent spam, fishing, and fraudulent emails these days, the public is advised to never pay bills on-line or over the phone to any company or anyone who the "payee" is not familiar with. I have no idea if this company is for real. The lack of specific information leads me to believe that this may be a form of fraudulent email. Furthermore, upon going to their website I attempted to contact them via the email they provided on their site but, was led to a "page not found" response. This all just seems to be either a scam or at the very least, bad business practice in their method of communication and lack of detail. From a law firm of all things. I would like this company to drop their claim of $15 dollars and 25 cents. If for no other reason, because of their poor business practices and cause for undue stress. I would also like notification that they are dropping the claim and will have no future contact with me. This is definitely not about the money for me ($15.25). This is about going against my better judgement and getting sucked into some type of scam. If this is not a scam, well shame on this law firm for making it appear that it could be.

I have been trying to get cooperation from the debt collector to give permission to the clerk of court in which my citations were filed to take my payment of $7.00 so that I may get my license back and continue my life. The first phone call about this issue was January 4th which led to no resolution. For almost 4 weeks now I have been told repeatedly that someone would call me back after finding a solution. No one has called me back yet. The debt collector says that I am paid up on their side, that I have paid everything there is to pay in regards to the citations affecting my drivers license and all the court needs is a simple letterhead saying that they have permission to take my last $7.00 payment. SEVEN DOLLARS is preventing me from getting my license back and continuing my life. I am at my edge dealing with this. I have called 1-3 times a week since the first phone call. The court on the other hand is very responsive and is even trying to help me to settle this but this debt collector has taken all my money and decided it’s done with me. I feel like I am falling through the cracks. I need to get my license back! I worked hard for so long to pay all this money only for the debt collector to not even try to assist me with this issue. I mean I have paid almost $2000 and a simple $7 is holding me back. I don’t know what else to do. I need help with this being figured out and more than anything else, I WANT A SOLUTION! I will not allow myself to fall through the cracks! I will not just NOT get my license back. Who the heck is okay with not having a license that they paid so much money to get back? I wont allow this company to prevent me from getting my license back any longer. I have provided the solution even- to give a letterhead giving permission for me to pay the last $7 with the courts. And again and again, no one calls me back. Please help BBB. Thank you.

I have received notices for years now stating they are trying to collect fees from a municipal court for an outstanding warrant/citation. I have contacted the court directly, and they have no records of any infraction. I have contacted Perdue Brandon a number of times over the past few years asking them to stop sending me notices and explained this is a bogus citation. I continue to get letters threatening arrest and additional warrant fees.
