Stole money from my parents and has refused to pay them back even though they did not complete the work they were contracted to do. Stay away from them. They kept my parents checks from the insurance company and stated the would order windows to replace. They never have replaced the windows and when asked to return the money for materials and labor they have stated they would mail a check but have yet to do so.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We would like to clarify some important points regarding the work completed for your parents and the associated funds:

      1. Insurance Policy and Payment Structure: Your parents' insurance policy was an Actual Cash Value (ACV) policy, which included over $5,000 in non-recoverable depreciation, in addition to their deductible. This type of policy limits reimbursement for certain items, meaning that additional out-of-pocket expenses were necessary to cover all repairs. We followed Texas state law, which requires homeowners to pay their deductible, and we cannot waive or cover this amount as it would constitute insurance fraud.

      2. Work Performed: The insurance only covered the replacement of the glass in the windows, not the entire window units. We issued check #1050 for the ACV amount related to the windows on May 22, 2024. Since we did not receive further communication from your parents after that, the claim was closed.

      3. Completed Repairs: With the available ACV funds, we were able to replace both the house and garage roofs, which was critical for maintaining your parents' insurance coverage.

After speaking with your parents, we discovered that the original check for $343.56 was sent to their second property, where your brother resides. Since we have two addresses on file (as we replaced multiple roofs on different properties for your family), the check was initially mailed to that address. Your mother also mentioned that mail has sometimes been misdelivered, and this may have contributed to the confusion. Since we hadn't heard from your parents since May, we assumed the check had been received and closed the claim.

To resolve this, we have reissued the payment and delivered it in person to ensure there are no further complications. Please know that we take our reputation very seriously, and we would never jeopardize it over $343.56. We have hundreds of satisfied customers who have left positive reviews, and it’s important to us that every client has a good experience.

Additionally, we strongly encourage your parents to sit down with their insurance agent to review their coverage and ensure they are adequately protected in the event of future hailstorms or similar events. It's crucial for homeowners to fully understand what is covered when selecting an insurance carrier and to avoid making decisions based solely on price. Proper coverage can prevent situations like this from occurring in the future.

We encourage you to discuss this matter with your parents directly, as all necessary documentation and communication regarding the work and payments were provided to them. If you or your parents would like to review the contract or the insurance scope of loss further, we welcome you to stop by our office. We are happy to assist in clarifying any details.

      Thank you,
      Eagle Roofing & Construction, LLC

Thank you for your feedback, we have contacted the insured and have gone over the scope of work provided by the insurance company. Unfortunately not all siding was approved for replacement, therefore we have completed the installation of the damaged siding initially covered by the insured’s insurance company. A cashiers check in the amount of $3500 was provided to the insured on 6/30/2022 for a refund of the repairs opted out by the insured. After speaking in person with the insured she understood that all necessary refunds had already been made. The only repair needed to be completed is the installation of 4 window units. These units were initially ordered several months ago and have since arrived only to be the incorrect size. We have had to reorder the units and are currently awaiting the arrival of the units to have them installed. Both the outside lights and blown in insulation have been addressed and resolved, leaving the insured very pleased.
