Date 4.22.23 Cost: $1,500 for what ended up being 3 hours of work Save a Roof came out to repair our tile roof patio. During a visit, owner ***************** said wed save a lot of money from his services and the solution would last 10 years. Our deck and roof were not leaking, but had broken grout and water trapped underneath tiles. The worker who came out did not do the job correctly. He did not clean our tiles well before the repair, only using a broom. Now we have a lot of dirt stuck underneath a sealant. The worker missed a number of broken grout spots & the new grout color he used did not match, so we now have mismatched grout. On the quote, it said they would "clean tile of debris" which was not done. Also, the quote said "clean out loose broken grout" which was not completely done. The worker also sprayed sealant on our grey walls in sort of a wave pattern, which discolored the walls. The grout sealant used was not dark grey like the quote, it was light colored. On 4/22, I emailed **** photos of missing grout, mismatched grout, dirt trapped under the sealant, and the wall. **** said he'd send his worker back on 4/27 but never did, so I called ****. On the phone, **** got very offended because we weren't satisfied with the work. He called me crazy because I emailed photos of what wasn't done right. He said he showed my emails to his friends and laughed about it. I asked for the worker to either come back out and fix the areas he missed and see if there was a solution for the discolored wall or we would like some sort of discount since we will likely have to pay someone else to fix the wall. **** raised his voice and said I could take him to court if I dont pay him and that I will win. He also justified the repair by saying -well your roof isnt leaking is it? However, our roof was never leaking. The call ended with **** saying hed send his worker back out the following week, which never happened. He charged my card the remaining $750 without my authorization.

We should have vetted this customer better.

Work was done correctly. Owner complained of a discoloration (from dirty house to new sealer) and also complaint of dust outside on a deck along a roadway. (Very frivolous considering mold was growing in the house from water damages)

They called keeping hours and material cost in there mind however it was a job price not an hourly.

just seemed they wanted money knocked off and made up complaints..

not very nice folk, would never work for them or any of there friends in the future.

However we did receive a 5 start review and call to thank ** for fixing there problem on the rear home attached to theres at ********************. **** is good people..

you can post there complaints and my response. Any customers of this type we would not want to work for. Regular normal folks see this stuff anyhow..

      Have a nice day,

      ***********************

I am rejecting this response because there is no resolution offered for the work that wasn't completed correctly. Even thought we asked him to, **** never came to the house after the work was completed by his employee to take a look first hand. We wanted him to see in person the problems and the missing grout spots that were missed, but he never came. I tried my best to send a few images of the mismatched grout and broken grout that wasn't fixed, and that is when **** told us I was crazy and he laughed at the photos with his friends. **** promised two times that someone would come back out to fix the missing spots and look at the discolored wall, but no one ever came back. At this point, we do not believe we should pay for the entire $1,500 when the job is not complete.

Also, there is no "****" at this residence or at our neighbors. **** was not the previous owner of this house and the previous owner, who is a female, did not use Save a Roof. Even if **** has a satisfied client somewhere named ****, this information is irrelevant to our project that was not completed or done correctly.

Again, the work done does not match the work listed on the proposal. I'm always happy to write positive reviews when I find honest and hard working contractors, but this was not one of them.

      Regards,
