I paid $9800 for a 2008 VW Rabbit in June 2022. The car was in significantly worse condition than advertised. The car still requires many expensive repairs. I paid far above ***** blue book value for the car. I was given an unfair price for my trade-in.

the car was in good shape when it was sold and it was state inspected  and emission tested , customer claimed they went to one these chain shops and was told the car needs afew items like 1 tire and wiper blade and etc after they purchased it , the shop was off on some of their diagnosis and had given the customer another wrong diagnosis even on their trade in . we took care of the items on his list free of charge even though the car was sold as is . and told him the shop is taking advantage of him and told him his trade in didnt need engine either because after we drove the car and looked into it we realized the car has no smoking off the tail pipe but the car was being oil changed every 10k miles which every car with almost 150k will have some oil burn off and its normal for the age and you can do the oil change every 3k and be fine . we did break his emblem on the front of the car and we bought brand new one for him from VW dealer and he wouldnt come to get it installed since it had to be ordered and we delivered it to his house. now he is still complaining that there are stuff wrong with the  car. the vehicle was sold as is but we still did take care of things but he is not happy and there is nothing else we can do.

as far as his trade in price is concerned he told us the engine was burning oil and the car was so dirty looked like someone was living out of it . his car was worth **** dollars with 146k miles for its trade in but the entire car was covered in hail damage as well so we gave him **** for car that had ton of big hail on it and was super dirty and based on the customer needed engine rebuild as well . he accepted that offer as well . we didnt force him to do the trade so sorry that he doesnt think his trade in was worth more with.  those issues.

I am rejecting this response because: the car I bought was grossly overpriced and far above blue book value for its poor condition. I insist on at least a partial refund.

On February 9, 2022, I purchased a used car for $11,300 which I paid cash from Austin Auto Emporium from Ramin Navareh. The car dealership stated to me that the car had a CLEAN Carfax and had not been in an accident and if there were any problems to bring it back and the mechanics would fix it. Within days, the car began to show mechanical issues which include but not limited to; Feb 11, (2) front drivers side lugnuts/bolts were missing, (1) rear lugnuts/bolt was missing. Feb 14-the front grill falls off. There were no clips to hold it in place. Feb 16. I noticed a wire hanging down. The horn did not work. Feb 19- tire pressure gauge light illuminated. Feb 21- The car is having trouble accelerating. As I push the gas pedal, the car bogs down and doesn't accelerate as it should. Feb 23- The check engine light comes on. Feb 25-the car is leaking oil on the driveway, oil is visible on the engine compartment. Feb 27- I take the car back to the dealership, a woman took the notes and my concerns. She emails me a carfax which showed that the vehicle was in a drivers side front end collision with enough impact for the airbag to deploy. She seems helpful and that they are willing to help. Feb 28/Mar 1- I speak with ***, a mechanic who stated it has a blown head gasket. He also acknowledged that the clips were all missing from the grill. He said that they are ordering the parts to fix it. Mar 4-A woman told me to come get my car. They are not going to fix it or work on it. Mar 7I speak with ***, the technician, and he says that he has to talk with the owner. Mar 9-they are not willing to fix anything. The nature of this dispute is deceptive trade practices. The salesman continued to lie about the cars ability to perform in order to sell the vehicle. Had the important information been disclosed, I would not have purchased the car. The business has not tried to correct the problem, made the problem worse, and deliberately sold an unreliable and unsafe car.

he did purchase the car from us and he asked me for its carfax report before he came by and I told him specifically that our carfax reports are all published on our website for all customers to look at and he can see the full carfax there , I told him the car has clean title but never told him it has clean carfax since the car shows accident  on it  and also we have a lot of cars and we cant always memorize their history off top of our head . as for his issues the car lug nut bolts were on there but the cover that covers them up was missing and the car was state inspected if the lug nuts were missing if would not have passed state inspection, as far as the grille issue there are on there with plastic clips and snap on that way so the only way they just fall off is if you are negligent in driving and or if you hit something and we offered him to fix it because the cost on it is very minimal.

as far as his accelration issues and check engine he brought the car to us and we scanned it and showed intake manifold code which is very common on this car to fail and its normal wear and tear issue that needs to be replaced , we did tell him we can fix it for cost which is a lot less than what shop will do it for but he refused and said he wasn't to *** us and as soon as he said that we are obligated to refuse to work and deal only with his attorney after that and that is why he was told to come pick up the vehicle because of him mentioning he is getting attorney. *** also never told him that the car has blown head gasket since the car does not have blown head gasket and has issues that we could have easily fixed ,such as the clips for the grille are easily replaceable and so is the intake/check engine issue .

if we were trying to hide the carfax why do we have all cars carfax clearly loaded on our website for everyone to see if before purchase and why would we email him the full report afterwards when we knew what the report shows on it and this was not disclosed to him . he even mentioned to me that the price was great and we told him it was because of the accident it showed on its report. you can even visit our website and see all cars for sales with their reports are online so customers can see them before they come and it seems to us that he didn't look at the carfax and bought the vehicle and now has noticed it and is blaming us for it.
