On October 28, 2024 I received an email from Certified Tree Care LLC (******, **) which informed me that I would be "automatically re-enrolled" in a ************* contract. In the email it says if I DO NOT OPT OUT I will be charged $99 on Nov. 18.I'm not sure how I can be "re-enrolled" if I never was enrolled in the first place! Years ago, this company did some work for me, but I did not enroll in such a service. I have tried to contact the business but was asked to leave a message. I have left two messages in the last week, and no one has returned my call. How do I "opt out?"Review from Linda H

We had used this company to trim our trees last year. The guy ****** ****** talked well during the initial consultation but it took several weeks & multiple calls to get them to my house to do the job after we paid half of the amount. The quality of job was just Okay and for the price we paid I wouldn't recommend this company for any further jobs. However I received an email this month from this company to notify my autorenewal TREESURANCE MEMBERSHIP for $99, which I never signed or agreed to a such membership. I tried to call the company and the guy ****** ****** to cancel it but I couldn't reach anyone. Please someone needs to stop this company to practice like this!!Review from Brian P

**** and his crew exceeded our expectations.Fast, efficient, and did an amazing clean up after the tree work was completed.Weve had Certified ************ on site at least 6-7 times over the last 6-7 years.All the crews were good. This is a totally unreliable business. I signed a contract with them on October *********************************************** *****, **. The arborist who came to my house said he was with their office in **********, **. I noticed on the Internet that this is a national business with offices in many states. The contract I signed lists their office in ******, **, I paid $300 up front, with a remaining balance of $322.44.I was told that they would call and give me a scheduling date. I never received a call. I finally decided to call their office on October 18. I was told that the scheduler was out of the office, but would call me back with a date. I never received a call. In late October, I started calling again, without success. I simply received a message that said, "The mailbox for this phone number is full." I continued to call without success. I tried calling other numbers I found on the Internet, with no success. I sent an email message through their website and got no response.I still have no date scheduled for the work. Yesterday I sent a message through their website that read as follows: "I have tried repeatedly for three weeks to get a date for the tree work you contracted t do for me. I still do not have a date. Furthermore, I have now found it impossible to contact you by phone. Because I can not communicate with you, I consider you to be in violation of our contract, and therefore , as of today (11/22/23), I am declaring the contract to be null and void. I will find someone else to do the work."I did not request a refund of my deposit because I consider such a request to be a waste of time. I suspect this business has actually gone out of business.Review from Tim S

Where the sales people are very nice their actual tree service is less than adequate. We were booked out 2 months. Got 24 hours notice to do the job. Which we pushed a day. They crew of 2 arrived at 9am to take care of the 3 oak trees in the backyard. After 4.5 hours they left and had not completed the job! They left multiple spots untreated, left some dead limbs, and neglected to take care of any of the water sprouts.A revisit happened over a week later, only after I had to demand the work be completed ASAP. The crew that came back did a fine job with the tree but broke a strand of meditation bells with sentimental value and broke a piece of wood on our deck. They neglected to tell us about either! Didnt realize the bells were broken until after the fact. The crew apparently took them and trashed them. Im sure it was accidental, I would have liked to been able to keep them. In my opinion, this company boasts way more than they can provide! I am extremely displeased. I most sorry, I recommend them to a friend before having the work done.Review from Bill H

Used these guys finally and they did a great job. Hard workers in this heat. The deposit thing is kinda weird but I understand it and I did get a receipt of course. The *********** company and communication with ** on when my services were to be done were good. Get with ** the ** for these parts and youll be fine too. This company is not good to be employed by. The company keeps employed a mean individual by the name of ***************************. This *********** his team with unreasonable expectations and has them work very long shifts whenother teams are with their families in the evenings. Nothing was done correctly in ****'s eyes according to those who know him and his team. This man would should not be leading people. The company is aware of the issue and refuses to protect the people who work for the company. **** would blame the salesman when some other customer said they had no money at the moment. He was not understanding when it came to using the bathroom even. He makes employees explain why using the bathroom took 20 minutes, which he multi-managed using GPS installed upon hiring. He is negative on his employees mental health and berates them every chance he got. He would manipulate the leads the salesman were given that day based on the bosses emotions. If he didn't like you, you had zero leads generated. Then says well why didn't you get contracts signed. Working for this company COULD have been better. Also their payout always seemed to lean in their favor and paying out commissions were sketchy. Where are good bosses and accountants at? Not Certified Tree Care. If you value your mental health and family time, then don't have **** as your boss. They should be evaluated because I feel they are in breech of the code of ethics. Also they are months behind with processing contracts but don't tell the customer and lay off additional teams of workers that could help the time from payment to job completion. Salesman are losing sales due to this as well. Thumbs down from consumer standpoint and ex employee
