I am currently in the final stages of construction of a new house with Traditional Craftsman Homes. They refuse to install the cabinet design I signed off on. Additionally, I requested dimensions of an opening before I gave permission to install countertops. The dimensions I received, via text message, were not the actual dimensions of the space. Based on what I was told, I approved the installation of the countertops. The builder refuses to work with me or take responsibility for relaying the wrong measurements to me and has threatened to file a lien on my house and basically strongarm me into paying for something that was not agreed upon. Additionally, he is trying to charge me for a couple other items that were never discussed or even in the contract. He also is charging more for can lighting than what was verbally discussed. Lastly, the shower he installed is not standard issue and what is expected as the shower valve is on the opposite wall as the shower head. I just want what I paid for. If I pay him now then I dont know what recourse I have to get what I paid for. By not fulfilling his end of the contract, he is purposely trying to damage my ability to make money on this vacation rental home. The person I have been dealing with is ***************************. He seems to think he is doing me a favor by building a house for me as he could care less if he builds to my specifications.

We have completed the house for ********************** per the contract, plans that were approved and all of the changes and additions he requested.

I am rejecting this response because:   This case has NOT been filed in court yet so I am requesting that complaint ID ******** be reopened. I still do not have possession of the house and it is not completed based off our text messages and e-mails and he refuses to complete it.

      Sincerely, ***************************

I am rejecting this response because: The house is not 100% complete. The cabinet above the range is not what was signed off on. The appliances are not installed.  There is mdf in the house where was supposed to be pine. The shower valve is on the wrong side of the shower as per our walk through. The range opening is not what the builder informed me it was.  There are nails in the decking where there should be screws. The house has not been inspected accordingly so the builder has not even been able to make the appropriate changes. These are just a few things that the builder has failed to address. I have not had access to the house or any communication from the builder for the last month or so. This is a classic case of a business trying to bully me into something that was not agreed upon.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************
