I bought a brand new AC unit summer of 2020 for $8,500 which included a two-year warranty. The AC unit stopped blowing cold air in October 2021. It turns out that the unit I bought/what they sold me had a faulty part which leaked out all the freon. I asked them at the time why the freon wasn't covered he said they don't cover the freon I asked for proof documentation stating such as well as what's covered and what's not under my warranty. I had no choice but to pay $550 in order to refill the freon so I could have cold air. I spoke with the owner on the phone several times asking where the paperwork was proving that the freon wasn't covered because I never got it. He kept telling me he was on its way, it's in the mail etc. Our last conversation I spoke with him he finally admitted to me he lied about having paperwork proving that it wasn't covered but just that they were having problems with the units they were selling and he didn't want to eat the cost as the company so they decided as a whole to start charging the customers. I told him that this sounded illegal to pretend that certain things were covered and lie and then put the cost on the customer when I paid for the warranty. He said that he understood and would work with me on the cost. He never answered any of my phone calls after that, refusing to talk to me, and now I'm out the money that they should have covered. If I buy a warranty and it covers the parts of the unit and one of the parts is faulty, that should be on the company not on me. This is fraudulent behavior and I believe that legal action should be takenBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/01/20) */ Hello this is Troy B**** with BB air and heat I am writing a response to the complaint there was a problem with the cost of refrigerant ,Trane was not going to pay for it ,so we charge the customer after the customer , Icalled I talk to Trane,Trane agree to pay me back because of the incident with the leak happen so quickly ,so I thought my secretary at the time give her a refund .,but the refund was not issued ,so as soon as I found out it was not issued , Ireturn a payment for the whole amount of the refrigerant ,sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused her, Her warranty is Still inplace so please and will be honored thank you Troy B****
