***** installed a brand new Split AC system unit on 2/24/2024. He left very rapidly after installing, and when we tried the unit, it was not operating (not blowing any cold air). I contacted ******************* to come and take a look, but he has not come ever and actually blew off scheduled appointments where I was just waiting (clearing schedule from work hours) for him to come. He never responded and has ignored 37 phone calls, texts, and my email. I contacted other HVAC technician (******* ***** to understand what the issue was and was able to get a proper diagnosis which resulted in a conclusion that ******************* poorly installed the unit, left the unit in a quite dangerous status, and that there was no way *****'s installation would allow the unit to function properly. In attempt to get the unit running as soon as possible, I had to hire another HVAC technician (****) who was very kind through the process to diagnose the problem and also concluded that the unit installation was extremely poor and dangerous. I have contacted ******************* in an email of the problem (attached). Not a single word or response. It turns out from other available customer reviews that this is just what he does. Extremely unprofessional and certainly a fraud. I am reporting this so that an action can be taken against this business. This type of business should not exist. ***** is not honest, and he fails at performing his job as he states. He is obviously waiting for his 30 day labor guarantee to make sure that he does not have to come back to my house to address the issues he caused. This has cost me an additional $400 dollars to fix the issues he created. I would like ******************* to pay me back for the $400 I spent fixing the problems he caused. At any point, I am ready to provide any evidence, or, take this issue to court. I have attached my communication with the other HVAC technician for reference. Regards,****Initial Complaint

When our AC stopped working, Larry C*** told us that we would need a brand new AC/heat pump outside. We asked about financing, and he said that would delay us getting a new unit and that if we needed an urgent repair, we would need to pay in full up front. Over $6000 dollars, and 5 services visits, he put in the new unit only for things to still not work at all. Did we even need a new AC to begin with? He told us that he couldn't help us anymore and that we should fine another company to come out instead. Only problem...I tried calling multiple companies, and legally nobody can help me since the warranty is all under Larry C***. Cobb AC is the only one the make this right, and he is both is unable to fix, and unwilling to make this right. Can you help get this resolved ASAP? We can't afford to go somewhere else even if we wanted to since we paid up front in full for nothing to work. With is being as hot as it is in Texas, this almost feels illegal what has happened with us and we just want things to work considering how much we paid.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/24) */ I install a new Condenser unit, the customer was informed that the Air Handler unit would need to be replaced as well. The customer decided to wait to see if the new unit would work with the (Carrier) Air Handler that was originally in his home. If the customer would purchase the Air Handler system, I would be more that happy to install. The inside unit that is needed, 3.5 ton Upflow Air Handler unit at the customer's expense. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This not true. I was happy to replace the entire unit and when I asked about it on the first day, he laughed and said the inside was still in great shape one only the outside would need to be replaced. After install, it still wasn't working, he came by daily, 3 times afterwards to try and fix. When it broke again just days later, He said he wasn't available and i had no choice but to have someone else come out. From previous messages he did say that if I could have someone else come out, then he would pay for it. The other company noticed immediately that it was not installed correctly, from both a technical and a safety perspective. They said that There is no way the outside unit should have been replaced without the inside also being replaced as well. For example, the refrigerant lines were not flushed or cleaned out. Which could contaminate the rest of the system. Also there was 15lbs of refrigerant when the system should only hold 8lbs. This is the primary cause of malfunction of the AC shutting off after a few seconds due to the high pressure. I'm seeking reimbursement for for the costs it took to have another company fix the previous mistake, and properly install.
