I purchased a want to get away tickets for my family, not knowing that I was purchasing tickets that I couldnt get refunded for or transferable, my daughter couldnt go at that time and wont be flying anytime soon. I call Southwest to let them know that and No one every told me at that time, I couldnt get my money back, the term Want To Getaway is miss leading having me to believe that I can take a trip to fun, relaxing etc; I didnt read the fine print but it caused me to lose my money because I cant use the ticket or get my money back. The should be purchased by speaking to a representative so that they can explain the fine print. Never will purchase Want To Getaway Its Very Misleading!!!***** R 2HV4VZReview from Mary O

Absolute joke. Their website is useless. Full of error messages. I hit the purchase button for a reservation for two different trips and received error messages and no confirmation emails. I figure okay maybe it takes a few hours or maybe even a day to get it. ****. I take screenshots just in case. No confirmation emails but the money left my credit card. Call Southwest Airlines days later and they have no record of this. My bank account shows that I was charged THREE TIMES for one trip. The rates have gone up in the last three days. They want me to rebook at this new surcharged rate and to pay up more wtf???? They wont even honor the rate I booked for because their website sucksz currently theres an error message that the whole server is down. So now I have to call the bank and dispute all these stupid charges. A total of 1300 dollars has left my bank account + 1000 for the rebooking and they wont honor my original rates. Incompetent horrible airlines will never book again. Lors of tears and frustration at ***. They dont care about their customers. ****** is much better. They will give credit just because. I was completely mislead into buying 6000 points for $90 from the Southwest website to be able to free flight...after doing this, I found through the booking process that it was going toing to safe me $110 for the flight. I called the Southwest customer service 800 line and was told that their point system is run by a 3rd party company and there are no refunds for my $90. Is it possible to give this company no stars...Southwest Air was a great discount airline, now they are just another company that does not seem to give a **** about it's customers.Review from Calista B

The Southwest Airlines Points system is a blatant scam and they get around it being classified as fraud by technically delivering the purchased points to your account, despite the fact that once purchased they are worth less than half of what was spent on them, DESPITE it being advertised as a deal and money saver. On top of that, your money when purchasing the points is not going to Southwest Airlines. They deceptively use a third party app that consumers unknowingly give their banking information to because the website is masquerading as the official Southwest website (it is even endorsed by ** - with advertisements on the site and pop-up notifications from the ** app!) The reason ** does not do refunds on points is because they deceptively trick consumers into giving money to a third party that consumers are under the false impression is ** airlines. It is DISGUSTING to trick consumers in this way, especially considering there is no mention of pointplus anywhere in the terms of service for Southwest Airlines. A class action lawsuit of some sort needs to be opened into this - if any lawyers are reading this, please look into this deceptive scheme ** is currently running. I know there has to be more victims of this than just myself. I am livid, and I am poor and just wanted to visit my family. As I said to the ** representative I talked to - enjoy the money you stole from me, because nobody in my family will EVER be flying ** airlines again after this blatant theft of my funds.Review from Ken P

During the boarding process, the lady's loud scolding and rude facial expressions revealed her anger, while the flight attendant belittled individuals and mocked someone's knowledge. To add to the unfortunate experience, my brand new designer luggage tags were taken and not recovered, resulting in a total financial loss.However, I must express my appreciation for the flawless round trip flights between ****** and *********. The landings were smooth, and the safety instructions were provided clearly and concisely.Review from Ruonan L

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Southwest Airlines regarding the booking of a flight at a discounted fare. After selecting and purchasing a ticket through their website, I was informed that the ticket I had just paid for was "no longer available." However, they still charged my ****** account for the transaction.I contacted customer service immediately, hoping to resolve the issue and secure the original fare. Instead of offering any helpful solution, I was forced to rebook at a higher fare. It was incredibly disappointing and misleading to be charged for a ticket that was not honored, especially since their website continued to show availability for other tickets.I no longer wish to fly with them due to their poor customer service and deceptive pricing practices.Review from Wes10

Flew back from ****, ****** back to ******, ******** on September 19th. brought my Drone with me to see some of the waterfalls on the Big island and got some great drone footage but on that flight back home my whole Remote and Drone (DJI mini 3 Pro with the digital display remote) where crushed from something! The Mishandling of customers belongings/valuables is absolutly unacceptable! I have loved Southwest for years, but this is the first instance they have been not even helpful at all and are just ignoring me at this point. Take care of your cusomters pleae and make this right! I'm so sorry and disappointed to feel the need to leave a negative review. Southwest used to be my favorite airline to fly but they've really gone downhill in the past few years. I'm so frustrated by my current issue with them that I need to vent. I tried to book a flight on the website (I tried on my laptop and through the app on my phone to avoid the possibility of technical or software issues) but it simply wouldn't go through. So I called, and to my great relief spoke with a real live person who made the reservation for me. Unfortunately, upon checking in 24 hours ahead of my flight, I find out that the person who made my reservation entered my birth date incorrectly. This cannot be changed without seeing identification, so now I have to deal with their mistake at the airline desk prior to my flight very early tomorrow morning. I booked a flight for my family. My daughter got COVID and could no longer go on the trip. I called to get a credit or voucher (I did not want my money back) for my daughter's flight. I did not realize I purchased the "wanna get away" ticket. I advised the agent I paid for the flight with my debit card. She would not help me. I asked if i could upgrade to "wanna get away plus" however it would cost me double what I paid for the ticket. I was willing to take a voucher or credit or even have my daughter tell them to transfer the ticket. I have been a rapid rewards member for many years. I am truly disappointed because I exclusively fly Southwest. I need southwest to give me a credit for this flight. *****Review from Lisa B

Dear Southwest, I was promised a refund and was given a refund reference number and a date I was to receive my refund . It is way past those dates and I have yet to receive my refund and can not get in touch with anyone at Southwest about it. One time they tried to transfer my call and we got disconnected. This refund was started 7/7/2024 I was to wait two billing cycles then given a date to expect my refund, we are weeks past that and NO REFUND Please help me get my money back as promised
