      On June 30th, 2024 I placed an order at ************************** for a small urn to place my recently deceased mothers cremated remains in. The urn was $49.99 and I was charged $11.43 for *** ground shipping. Once I received a shipping notification and tracking number I was surprised to see that rather than *** ground, the company had shipped the item **** ground instead. This was a cheaper and slower shipping service so I contacted ************************** for clarification as to why they shipped at a reduced cost and speed. I also inquired about a refund for the billing error in shipping charges. I was very concerned that since they shipped the urn using a slower service, it might not arrive in time for my mother's funeral. I was told via email that I would not receive a refund for the overcharge in shipping costs. It was too late to cancel the order so I placed an order through a different company to make sure I had an urn for my mothers funeral. I refused delivery of the package from ************************** at the post office and it was sent back to the company unopened. I checked with the post office and to send that package from ************************** to my address would have cost exactly $6.75, not the $11.43 I was charged. I received a partial refund from ************************** on 06/20/24 in the amount of $49.99. ************************** still owes me $11.43 for shipping and $3.25 in taxes that should have been refunded to me as well. I am owed a complete and total refund for this order because the company did not use the shipping service I was charged for. Had they shipped using the service I paid for, I would not have been concerned about it arriving on time and there would have been no problem with the order. Clearly this company overcharged me for shipping and used a slower, cheaper shipping service that benefited them financially. At a time of profound grief, when I was reeling from the loss of my mother, this company tried to **** a customer out of a few extra dollars. I am seeking the $14.68 that I am still owed.
