On January 19, 2017 I paid Electrical Distribution Design Systems $9375 for troubleshooting and repairing the wiring associated with my solar panels and replacing 3 inverters. The replacement inverters they installed included 2 Sunny Boy PV inverters and 1 PV Powered inverter. One by one the inverters failed. In early February 2021 I contacted SMA America, the manufacturer of the Sunny Boy inverters and learned they were under warranty (5 years). Due to the bad weather and power outage in February 2021, followed by the severe hail storm in April 2021, I waited until May 2021 to contact Thomas **** with Electrical Distribution Design Systems. He made a site visit on May 28, 2021. Since then I have been unsuccessful in getting Mr. **** to do anything about the failed inverters. Although he tried to tell me otherwise, SMA America and PV Powered are still in business. I need replacement inverters for the three that failed under warranty. Am willing to pay Mr. **** to remove the failed ones and install the new ones.

Business Response /* (1000, 18, 2022/02/15) */ Contact Name and Title: Thomas **** Owner Contact Phone: XXX XXX-XXXX There is an illegal, unprotected, 32000 volt transformer pot system sitting on the floor that her husband connected directly to the power lines. This is way to dangerous for my employees to be around. If the power company knew about it, I'm sure they would shut it down. The system is well over 20 years old and I don't have time to mess with it. Consumer Response /* (3000, 20, 2022/02/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Mr. **** replaced three inverters in the control room for the wind turbine and solar panels at **************************** in January 2017. He also added a new breaker panel in the control room. At the time he cautioned me about the transformer inside the control room but when I asked him if it needed to be moved he said no. So his assertion that it is "illegal" strikes me as odd given that he had never indicated it was "illegal" before and was willing to do work in the control room in January 2017and charged me $9375 for his services, but now considers the transformer "illegal" and "dangerous." After reviewing his response, I contacted the City of Keller on February 18, 2022. They confirmed that a Specific Use Permit and Building Permit were obtained for the wind turbine (which included the control room) and that an inspections was done by the City in June 2004 and a Final Inspection was done in Novembe4 2004. See attached email correspondence from the City of Keller. I also contacted Tri-County Electric on February 18, 2022 about Mr. ****** assertions and asked that they review their records regarding the wind turbine and solar power generation application that was submitted to them and, if they thought it was necessary, to set up a date and time to look at the transformer in the control room. A copy of this correspondence is also attached, and I hope to receive a response from Tri-County Electric next week. In summary, Mr. **** sold me three inverters in January 2017 which failed prematurely while under manufacturer warranty and has been and continues to be unwilling to replace them. When he looked at the three failed inverters on May 27, 2021 he never mentioned any concerns regarding the transformer in the control room to me or my handyman, Scott ***** who was present. To resolve this matter, he needs to provide replacement inverters or reimburse me for the expense of the inverters he installed ($7500) that failed prematurely.
