I purchased a 2018 ****** Pathfinder (Lot #********) , designated as run and drive from Copart ********************** on March 27, 2024. When the vehicle was delivered, I realized the vehicle had a bad motor and could not start let alone run and drive as the website indicated. All efforts to get Copart to help failed.I decided to sell it on the Copart platform, it was picked up and listed on Copart South Dallas yard. The listing lot #********. Unfortunately, the title got damaged, I mailed the damaged title to the Lebanon Tennessee yard to help process a duplicate title. The ***** tracking number is for the damaged title is ************. It shows it was delivered to the receptionist and was picked up by *. ********* (Please proof of delivery attached), notwithstanding, Copart, denied receiving the title. All effort to confirm the title was received and to determine next steps failed.Since the vehicle was still sitting at Copart South Dallas yard and Copart Lebanon Tennessee claims they never received the title, I had to take the vehicle back to prevent paying storage fees at the South Dallas yard (See owner retained receipt). I called the Lebanon Tennessee yard where I bought the vehicle but nobody was willing to help. The vehicle is still with me, I can't sell it and it doesn't run.I'm attaching a copy of the title I mailed to Copart ******* *********. The copy was taken before the title got damaged.Copart has not responded to the initial complaint I filed on the April 8, 2024. I have called many times and they are willing to help or provide any guidance. Copart has neither acknowledge receipt of the duplicate title request form nor processed a duplicate title.I need your help to ask Copart to process the duplicate or send the title back to me if the they can't process a duplicate I also need Copart to consider my request to return the vehicle and process a refund or a store credit.Business response

On August 9, 2024 I purchased a vehicle from Copart Auto Auction that was listed as a Run and Drive for $26,400.50 Keys were locked in vehicle and when I got it to my shop the battery was not in the key fob. Once I got battery in key fob the vehicle would not start.I got vehicle pulled into Body shop and did repairs on the body of vehicle, once that was complete I had vehicle towed to Ram dealership where I was told the *** and was missing and the security modules were not the right ones for this vehicle. I was told by dealer there was no way Auction would have cranked this vehicle with these missing and wrong parts. So it is my opinion that these parts were altered and taken off at the auction.I paid extra for what I thought was a Run and Drive vehicle when it was ****** cost me $6,456.41 in parts and labor to get it running. This is the amount I feel Copart Auto Auction owes **** reached out to the Auction where I purchased vehicle and was told that they would not do anything about it.This is description that was on Vehicle listing at auction:According to the auction, at inventory, the vehicle was *********** meaning the vehicle: 1) Started under its own power or with the use of external jump box, 2) Was put into gear, and 3) Moved forward. I am rejecting this response because: Your response was nothing less than a bunch of legal loopholes. The very pictures that you sent in your response is what I based my decision on to purchase this vehicle. When a vehicle is listed as run and drive it should be exactly that! Due to your additional fees you add on to the bid why would I want to spend even more money to have it inspected before auction? The truck was locked with key fob in it when I picked it up. That is my fault for not having someone unlock it but had I hired a transported it still would not have been opened. The key fob was inside with no battery in it. So this had to be done after Coparts Atlanta made pictures with it running. After not being able to get vehicle to start I took it to a Ram dealership where they found all kinds of interesting things wrong with it.
1. The *** was missing, like not there at all.
2.The two security modules was not the original ones assigned to this vehicle. They had an entirely different VIN than my vehicle VIN. Dealership said there was absolutely no way this vehicle could ever be started with this missing part and parts with foreign VIN.
So my big question to you is how did parts with VIN# ***************** get into my vehicle modules with my VIN# is ***************** after you took pictures of it running at your yard. Finding out who did this is as simple as doing a VIN check to see who it belongs to.
I know the answer and I know you know the answer too. You have a thief inside of your Copart Atlanta auction that helped themselves to parts on a vehicle that you listed as run and drive that made it not run and by no means able to be driven.
To get this vehicle to run and drive status cost me $6,163.91 to have *** and 2 security modules replaced including labor.
I have bought cars from Copart for 20+ years and have always gotten exactly what the description was and have been well pleased. I placed my trust in your pictures and description when it was totally false on auction day.

Although my account was rejected and not renewed , this company is big scam I have had many issues before but now I cant keep quiet. Yes they are a big company and have fancy lawyers because they can afford it , but taking money and denying me the right to use their product is a total scam , and then when I told them to return my funds they left out 20$ so I told them to return theses funds also but said Id have to pay 35$ to return the 20$ !!!!Business response
