On May 6 2024 Olde World Movers. Damaged my furniture. They failed to meet their acclaimed customer satisfaction goal. Fell extremely short of their advertised and false accolades. The incident was witnessed and reported by their mover who caused the damage. We filed a damage report. Did not hear from the company. Had to call and talk to ***** the owner. He tried to use tricky language to over all give the run around to avoid stepping up and paying to get my furniture fixed. He mentioned that he did not want to feel like he was getting screwed when I asked if he could do the right thing and pay for the repairs. I thought that the statement was best suited for my experience. Very displeased with their lack of urgency to make things right for a paying customer. The total to repair the furniture is $389 + tax. Which is brand new furniture I got 9-10 month ago. I would like them to refund me for the service, pay for the repairs or replace my furniture that was damaged. I paid a $100 deposit, paid 470 cash no change was given or the total amount given in cash shown in receipt. I just want a solution as fast they took my money.

      Complaint: 21696501

I am rejecting this response because:

I aimed to work alongside and comply with Olde World Movers to resolve and come to feasible solution.
They said they wouldnt help resolve issue unless I provided  proof of original bill of sale of furniture and manufacture repair quote and to have a Olde world Movers  in-house furniture repair person to check out the furniture in person. In hope they just needed that info to verify and approve repairs through the original manufacture. They just coordinated it so they could quote me that their In-house guy could fix for $75. Their in-house guy mentioned that he would tear the back of the couch, but its okay because no one could see the tear. After he stitched it. He told me that breaks like that happen when furniture is being transported in rough roads, however the incident happened loading up into the Truck before transporting it. Which leads me to believe that there hasnt been any communication within   company. I would like the repairs to be taken caree or through the company I purchased the furniture from or a refund on the service provided.

Im disappointed in the aim to rectify this situation and making it right. I would like my furniture to be repaired by the company in which I purchased the furniture from so it could be done correctly. Their in-house furniture repair person walked me through what the repair process would be. I would feel more comfortable in having it done by the company who sold me the furniture. I do not want to move forward with  their in-house repair person or solution theyve provided. Seems like if I am the only person putting effort in this situation. I am out the money I paid for your service that did not meet its acclaimed guaranteed customer satisfactory service. I am the one with damaged furniture. I am the one bearing the situation. I would like to just have my furniture repaired by the company I purchase it from or refunded for the service.

      Regards,
