Review:My recent encounter with Grasso Public Adjusters, Inc. during the aftermath of a major freeze in February 2021 has been nothing short of a nightmare. Regrettably, their services have been far from satisfactory.Right from the start, it was evident that Grasso was ill-prepared to effectively handle my claim. As expected, the claim was denied by my insurance company, citing damages falling below the $10,000 deductible. Instead of taking responsibility or exploring alternative options, Grasso simply washed their hands of the case and suggested I hire an attorney. With reluctance, I followed their advice and sought legal help.Despite my attorney's best efforts, Grasso remained uncooperative and unresponsive, leading to numerous roadblocks for over a year. Ultimately, we reached a breaking point and decided to part ways with Grasso, opting for a different adjuster to take over the case.Upon terminating our contract, my attorney requested an invoice for the time and expenses incurred during Grasso's inadequate handling of the claim. ***********************, the adjuster assigned to my case, promptly provided an invoice, which I paid in good faith. To my utter astonishment, the new adjuster successfully negotiated a settlement agreement with my insurance company within two months. However, due to Grasso's previous involvement, my insurance company insisted that the settlement check be made out to both Grasso and myself. In a desperate attempt to obtain the necessary release from Grasso, I directly contacted *** Grasso, even offering $2,000 from my own pocket. During our conversation, *** Grasso said, regarding his work, we sucked and failed . Shockingly, Grasso later responded with a new invoice of over $12,000, demanding this exorbitant amount as a condition for releasing the claim.Faced with such unreasonable demands and an utter lack of professionalism, I have been left with no choice but to pursue legal action against Grasso Public Adjusters, Inc.

Do not use them; I wish I had read these reviews before hiring Grasso PA.
************* is illegally withholding our last check from our insurance company totaling $10,000 which we owe to contractors. He told ** we can *** him for the check, calling ** a slew of derogatory terms along with it. Of the meager amount of $32,000 Grasso ** has obtained for **:
      *** has taken $10,000
$10,000 was for lodging and food
      $1,000 was for personal property
All of these records we composed ourselves.
So out of $11,000 Grasso ** has obtained they believe they're owed in total about $5500 and in addition they constantly refused to explain and break down their billing.
If you like dealing with a company who steals your insurance checks and charges you a very high percentage of what you get from your claim, then this is the company for you. If you like the owner telling you to " ****************" then you will enjoy working with Grasso **. Seriously, stay far away they are not honest, fair, or transparent in billing. They won't answer their office phone or give call backs. They are rude when you do talk to them. Their only office is on their home property behind a gate and security code, with tons of security cameras of course, and they will not come out to let you in for business purposes even after you have signed a contract with them. It appears to me there is good reason they don't communicate and hide behind their gate and cameras. **************** stole our insurance check for $10,000 and we have little recourse to obtain it. I am warning all to stay far away.

I started working with Grasso in May of 2021. Initially they were quick to file with my insurance company. After the reinspection on my roof, I didn't hear anything back. I called my insurance company only to be notified that I must get the results from Grasso. I called and left messages, but got no response. I got a call from Grasso notifying me that they were no longer working with my roofer but that they would continue working on my case. I still didn't get an update on my case. I got a new roofer who contacted them to find out what was going on. Finally someone from Grasso contacted me saying my previous case manager was no longer with Grasso and he would be my new rep. I explained that I have no idea what the outcome of the reinspect was or where my case was in the process. He said he would get familiar with the case and get back with me. Still nothing. It is now April of 2022... almost a full year since starting work with this company. I finally got fed up and sent an email requesting to end my services with them so I could move on with another company. I received no response. Weeks later, I get an email asking questions about my case like they were finally going to work the case instead of responding to my request to cancel.

      Ms. ***********

I have read the complaint filed with the BBB and I take very seriously the impressions from our customers. After all, I am a consumer too and my goal is to treat people better than I would expect to be treated.

There are a few important factors I would ask you to consider that may have seriously affected your experience with my company.

Most importantly, you were not a participant in the online workspace that we provide to our clients as the primary form of communication. I have attached a copy of this for you to see the level of work that was put into your claim. I think if you review this that you will see just how much we did on your behalf and did so without compensation. Our contract allows for us to bill for the hours we have worked when the agreement is severed although I would not do this. I only want to share in the success that we have when our work pays off. Your primary complaint is that we failed to communicate. The online workspace sends you an email every time a post is made so that you can see all of the claim activity, but you never saw this because you did not accept our invitation to the workspace. If you had you would have received more communication than you probably would have wanted.

Another very significant issue is that there are prior claims that we were not aware of until much later in the claim process. In fact, we only just received a copy of the prior claim on 4/6, and this claim paid for much of the same damage. This has a very real impact on our ability to be productive.

Lastly, 2021 was the year of the Uri Winter Storm. I doubt many people are aware of how this affected the entire insurance industry but I can tell you that it was unprecedented. All of the carriers were drastically overloaded and so were we. In spite of this, I look at your file and there was an awful lot of activity and we really did try to help. I am sorry that it did not work out as we hoped.

I think the fact that we worked as much as we did on your file and did so without any compensation should be taken into account. I would have felt the same way you do about our communication if it were not for the fact that we communicate with all of our clients through the online workspace and you never saw that.

I would ask that you reconsider leaving the negative review. Given all of the work that was done and the circumstances of the claim & the workspace issue, it seems like a very rash review.

This Grasso Public Adjusters company is a joke, my claim is still ongoing after a year. I fired them on March 18, 2022. My Claim happen because of the winter storm on February 16, 2021, Grasso called me, wish the **** he never did.

      04/19/2022

Ms ******* has attempted to abuse the system by filing erroneous complaints, here and with TDI, in an effort to not pay her fees due. (PLEASE NOTE, TDI HAS CLOSED HER COMPLAINT FILE AFTER RECEIVING OUR RESPONSE.) Unfortunately, the claims that resulted from the Uri Winter Storm were quite complex, very detail-oriented, time consuming and require negotiations involving, but not limited to, Mitigation, Repairs and/ or Rebuilds, Personal Property and ALE. She is correct: this process did take some time to finalize correctly.

Ms. *******'s rebuild alone increased over $50K due to the efforts of Grasso PA, Inc. Our claim file shows 100's of communications between Allstate, Grasso PA, Inc. and the Insured. Also note, we work on a contingency-basis. If we are not successful, we do not receive a fee. Ms. ******* has paid one invoice since March 16, 2021. Since then, we have diligently continued to work ON HER BEHALF without compensation.

We take any complaint or negative comment against our firm very seriously. In this case, we have gone above and beyond to assist Ms. *******. The type of personal attention her claim received is unmatched in our industry.

As an aside, in this world of technology, we do not believe anyone should be able to post false claims against a hard-working company without merit and/ or proof. The effect these types of allegations have is incomparable in both monetary and spirit value.

      Customer Response

      04/20/2022

Wow! Mr. ****, so many lies, but I understand you are fighting for your business and I just want to go back to February 15, 2021, before the storm and before *** ******. You said I have made every effort not to pay my fees if we were to take a lie detector test about when I was sent an invoice for fees due and when they were due I wonder who would pass that lie test. Your contract said I was to pay my fees from the money you get from my claim payments. You sent my first invoice for payment in mid-September 2021 at the time I was in the hospital. And no I was not going to pay you your fee out of my disability funds, your fee had to come from the insurance claim amount. As far as Mitigation that lasted about a week and a half before CHA fired **** and his screw, I was the one spraying bleach on the mole and emptying the water from the fan container around the clock for over 12 weeks. You did not rebuild my home but thank you CHA Roofing for sending Jose the plumber out on March 9, 2021, to fix my burst pipes. Yes, Thank you for telling ALE to use that part of my policy that I paid for in case I needed to be put up while my home was unliveable. Now the second time you have asked me for money/payment was just this past March 2022 for $168.00 then it increase to $1,500.00 plus but again you trying to make it sound like you have been asking me all along and that's is not true. Again when you have received a check for me this time you better hope I endorse it since I am reading all of these lies. Oh and I like the way you copied and paste my emails to fit certain questions to send to TDI, I heard of people like you but never ran across any. You said I only paid one invoice since March 16, 2021, true that's the day *** ****** called me on the phone for the 1st time out of the blue. Allstate only approve my claim on September 7, 2021, the same day I was admitted into the hospital, when I was released and was able to move on my own accord I called you and made arrangements to swap checks in your parking lot because I was not allowed inside your premises, that's when I realize who I was dealing with. Do you want to say I'm lying about that too? You also stated you have 100's of file contact with myself and Allstate, guess what I also have letters and phone calls from Allstate calling and writing me asking me have spoken to you, because they have not been able to reach you by phone, the last letter I received from Allstate because they could not reach you is dated April 12, 2022, stating you have 10 days to contact them or they will close my file and will reopen it once you have contacted them, so I phoned them April 18, 2022, at 10:50 am call Allstate yourselves and say I'm lying. I see *** signed this letter you guys sent in, glad to see he is still around just wish he did all he said he did in this letter for me. I sware I told the truth the whole truth and nothing but, So Help Me God, can you say the same.
