February 2023 I came in for an annual exam. While completing the exam, Dr. ***** asked me when was the last time, I had a Pap smear. I informed her that its been 2 yrs and Im not scheduled to have another one until ****. She stated that I was correct. While finalizing the annual exam, she wanted me to come back for 2 visits. One for blood work and the second for Pap smear. I repeatedly informed her that I did not need one until next year, she states that I need to get another one and that its important. I concluded both exams. My blood work was not charged, however my Pap smear appointment was billed directly to me. This visit was supposed to be included with my free annual exam. The doctors office charged me for an office visit. I contacted the billing department about this issue after realizing that provider was getting over on me. The billing department gave me different reasons each time as to why they arent removing the bill and that I have to be charged. The last conversation that I had with the billing department was that she would contact me back with an answer. The lady never contacted me back, instead I received a final notice bill. After completing my exam and receiving my final notice bill, I saw that their ****** reviews had the exact same issue that I had. This office charges patients to put more money in their pockets- scamming multiple patients. The office just recently sent a letter stating that they have repeatedly contacted me for bill payment. This is false. They have not contacted me 1 time. The 1st time that I received this bill, I paid $25 not thinking anything of it. The 2nd notice, I looked at the bill and thought about why was I being charged for an exam that was supposed to be free? I then contacted billing to dispute and they have different reasonings to why Im billed. They were never the same reasonings. This facility has a reputation of scamming patients if you read their reviews.

      Dear Moderator,
It is a known issue with deductible driven plans where patients question, and often are not happy with the charges. I reviewed the billing of ************** for her visit in February with our billing department and further discussed the case with **************** and the documentation shows that the billing was correct.
There is not much I can discuss on this forum about a patients medical case (HIPAA) but after discussing internally and keeping ************** point of view in perspective, we decided to write-off her balance. Please let ************** know that her balance has been completely written off and if she has any further questions she can call me directly at ************
      Regards
      ***************************
