Compass Air installed an overpriced A/C unit in my home in 2019. Due to a software system update with Trane, my unit would not heat at 230am, when I needed it while getting ready for work. I called the number in my phone to ask how this could be fixed (usually just knowing which setting to unset, or reset) and no answer. I looked up the number on line and called -it was "out of order". At first, I thought maybe he closed the business. He called me back, stating in a rude tone I called his cell number and he was on site. I told him I always used this phone number and the phone was out of order. He said it wasn't. I explained my situation and he said he would call back, which he did. That's when the story gets ugly. He basically called me a liar for starters, saying his business phone wasn't out. I asked him why he would think I would make that up. I know how to dial the number- as a matter of fact, I was trying to play the recording for him from another phone but he was too busy interrupting me. He said he would call to schedule an appointment- saying ****** to service the unit. I told him I didn't feel I needed that. He became EXTREMELY belligerent with me, saying I told him the wrong age of the unit, I didn't dial the right number. I was in shock that a pres of a company would talk to his customer that way. I also told him I know 3 other people who won't use him anymore because of his condescending attitude and extreme rudeness. He then told me he wasn't sending his guys out to my house and to go somewhere else. I'm still upset and this happened 5 hours ago. Buyer beware with this man. He has no fuse and apparently doesn't need any more business, because he lacks customer ********************** skills and doesn't hold back to tell you "his opinion". I do not recommend this place unless you don't mind being abused and belittled. As he said, there are other companies in the area that service Trane, and I called them! They were fantastic and fixed the problem.

We are very surprised by this customer's review. Unfortunately, we believe that this was a misunderstanding. The customer called and stated that our office phone number was not working, but was stating that while on the office phone with us. When we suggested that she might have dialed the wrong number the first time, she became irate. While we understand that customers can get upset when they have service issues, we don't understand why this customer told us that she was not comfortable paying a service charge because she felt like the unit that we installed in 2019 was overpriced to begin with. According to our records, we've had no other issues with this system since the original installation. Our service manager called the customer back and informed her that he would go out (at no charge) to see what the problem was. The customer then informed us that she no longer wanted to use Compass Air and that she had contracted another company to come out. While we strive to satisfy all of our customers, we understand that customers can get frustrated when the system that they paid good money for is not working properly. In this situation, we feel like we attempted everything we could to satisfy this customer, but obviously, we came up short this time. We hope to learn from this situation and improve going forward.
