Made a payment arrangement, but still got reported to credit agencies stating I owe the entire balance on car as if no payments were made. The report took my rating down 30 points while I am still paying on car.American Airlines Credit Union Response

American Airlines Federal Credit Union cannot locate ******* ******-***** in our system based on just her name and email address. We contacted her to get more details on February 28, 2024, and as of this date, we have not received a response from Ms. *************Review from Shannan F

My granddaughter was born five years ago. Just before the Covid-19 crisis hit, and the country shut down. I purchased tickets to fly to **, to meet my new grandbaby, but due to a family issue, had to change my tickets. Mind you, I had trip insurance and had to pay extra to be able to change my flights. I was told I could not change my flights... I had to purchase another ticket. No, they did not refund my money. $600 dollars. They did issue a flight voucher... Then covid hit and as I worked for the Department of the Army, I was on a travel restriction for the next two years. During that time, I contacted American Airlines and was told that my voucher was good, and they would honor it, no matter what. No, they would not refund my money. Over the last five years, I have contacted them multiple times, requesting a refund. They refuse to refund my money (despite trip insurance). They now refuse to honor my travel voucher "we aren't giving, or honoring, vouchers for the disruptions from the covid travel restrictions'.Given their bottom line, that $600.00 wouldn't even be a blip in their budget. But it would make a huge difference in my budget. American Airlines STOLE that money, refuse to give it back and only quote 'policy' as to why they cannot return it. After five years, you would think they would realize that even federal employees live on budgets. Shame on them!****************************. Marketing Officer.*************************. **** Chair and Chief Strategy Officer.******* ******* Head of Customer Service.Their behaviour is suspect. I feel none of them have any integrity. I honestly hope that how they treated me, and many others, comes back to them multiplied. Horrible customer service.,I have been with them over 20 years and often go to the location at *****************. That place has a vibe of walking into a funeral home. I had to apply for a car loan & they dont even match interest rates. I drove all the way there from chicago & needed a cashiers check to pay off the car. I immediately paid off the car and never received my title to my car & was told by the operator that its not there problem to get me the title.. I think Im about to close my accounts.. not a customer service orientated place anymore.American Airlines Credit Union Response

I called to have my miles that I earned through there credit card to use them in a specific portal and the first rep on the phone had no idea that could use them online, the next one said it was out their juridiscation, finally got to the right place and they were like we can send a message but not sure if they will get back to you like WTF Canceling this credit card and never flying American againAmerican Airlines Credit Union Response

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! VOICE and CHAT AGENTS In August I request an extension that would allow me to not pay for 60days and it was granted. The credit union sent electronic paper work for me to sign and the paper work stated that the extension was only for 30 days. I called and spoke with a rude agent and told her that the extension is suppose to be for 60 days. She put me on hold and spoke with a supervisor. Per the supervisor I needed to sign the paperwork and the updated paperwork would be sent in 24hrs. I signed the paperwork and it was delivered to them. Around October, I started receiving phone calls from AAFCU and I noticed on my credit report my score dropped. I called and was told oh no the extension was only for 30 days and during that time you still had to pay the loan. I stated that the agent I spoke with did not state that payments still had to be made and that it would only be for 30days. I then asked to speak to a supervisor to request that someone listen to the calls because none of what she was stating is what I was told. She stated a supervisor wasn't available and someone would call me. Of course no one called me and I called back to make another request and received the same result. Due to the lie I was told, my credit score took a major hit due to the late payments they reported. If you are thinking of signing up with them, DO NOT. Save yourself the headache. Agents are rude and could care less about customer service. They will lie to you because they know they can get away with it. Even the chat agents are rude...like how are you mad when you don't verbally speak with the customer? I hope that leadership changes and they start to hold the agents and supervisors accountable for their actions.Review from Matt M

I have a savings account that my car payment is drawn from. My husband died 18 months ago so I have made sure the money was in that account to cover the payment. In May the credit union drained that account and put $4000 towards principal and repossessed my car today. I'm in shock! I'm getting a lawyer!American Airlines Credit Union Response
