On my last two visits to Take 5 store #**** for oil changes, both times I was overcharged an additional $*****+tax for oil filters even though oil filters are included in the price of the ****** visit dated 8/26/2024, I went in for an oil change and paid a total of $101.69. From the invoice this was $99.99 oil, 3.99 service charge, ***** "extra charge - oil filter", less ***** coupon I received by email marketing, plus tax ******* visit dated 3/28/2024, I went in for an oil change and paid a total of $97.96. From the invoice this was $81.99 oil, 3.99 service charge, ***** "extra charge - oil filter", less 5.00 store coupon, plus tax ******* total, I was overcharged an approximate amount of $28.12 for two oil filters + tax.I asked the store manager, *****, what the ***** "extra charge oil filter" was for and he said the oil filter is not included in the price of the type of oil I purchased and is charged separately. I called 7 other stores in a 30-mile radius and they all assured me that oil filters are included in the price of the oil, regardless of the oil type that is selected and regardless of the Take 5 location.I mailed a letter to the registered agent/store owner **** ***** of this store #**** one month ago requesting a refund for the two overcharges totaling $28.12, and included copies of my invoices, and he has not made any attempts to reply or refund me for the ************** summary, I am requesting a check refund in the amount of $28.12 for the amount store #**** overcharged me.Initial Complaint

I took my 2017 **** F-250 into Take 5 oil change. The shop is located at ***************************************************. The technician drained my oil then did not put oil back in the engine. I was not aware he did not put oil in it and he had me start my truck. My truck stalled out when running. The technician at that point put oil in the engine. The result was my engine was ruined and I had to have a mechanic install a new engine. The owner of the shop "*****" told me he was not responsible for my engine. The engine cost for this truck was $12,500. Engine was replaced by ******** experts Roundrock *****.
