      On March 21 a box of 4 braces came *** from SJA 1st Medical, needing a signature. My wife signed for it, thinking I had ordered it. We did not order the braces, nor were they prescribed by any of our physicians, nor do we need braces. On March 27 we saw the first claim from SJA 1st Medical show up on ******** for $2000 and reported it to ******** as fraud. On the 28th we reported a second claim for $2760.22. It appears they are going to **** ******** for each brace. We have called SJA 1st Medical's number 10 times the past week to return the braces, according to their instructions, but so far no one answers or returns our calls. They say we have 30 days to return the braces. We've reported them to our local police department, the ************** of ********* General and the ************** Attorney General. It appears the company is involved in a ******** fraud scam.

      Unfortunately what is being stated in their statement is false, which in legal terms is considered libel. On, April 4th, 2023, the patient called and stated they couldnt use the braces. I then sent them a return label. As of April 21st, 2023, the package which was returned by the patient with our return label. Since it has been received in our warehouse, the billing department will reverse the charges with ********* These are the facts. The patient was never ignored and was taken care of as soon as they called the office. This was not a scam. We have a recording of the patient ordering the braces.

      We are finally able to get a hold of SJA 1st Medical.  They said they would send a return shipping label.  Actually, the label came from the company, Doctor in the House who shipped the braces.  We were able to return the braces.  So the unwanted and unauthorized braces have been sent back.  I am still in touch with ********* who was billed $2000 and $2760.22 for 2 of the 4 braces.  They are still investigating this fraud.  Some how these companies (SJA 1st Medical and Doctor in the House ((DITH is located in ************)) are involved in ******** fraud.  I'd still keep my eye on them.  But, I no longer have a complaint with them.  Thank you.  ********************* on behalf of Fairy ******

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.

       

      They, however billed and received payment from ******** of $4760.22 for braces that were not ordered by us or our doctor.

      SJA 1st Medical said they have a recording of my wife ordering the equipment.  I'd like to hear that recording.

      If SJA 1st Medical has a recording of my wife ordering braces, it would be an edited recording of a scam call in which she was trick into giving out her ******** number on January 26.  The call was immediately reported to ********.  Since that call, fraudulent charges have showed up and continued to show up on her account.

      This company called multiple times posing as********* and stated they were sending a replacement glucose meter and asked how many times glucose was checked. Once the answer of 1 was given, was told if********* called to state 4 times daily. When they were told that would be a lie, they said if the answer of 4 was not given that ******** would deny all future claims. They also stated they were sending a back brace. When they were told there was no need for a back brace. They said it was needed and was sending it also. They were told no that it was not and they kept harassing. They called back at least 10 more times that day and kept calling back multiple times for several days afterwards but I didn't answer their calls because I realized it was fraud. They sent a package anyhow. I have not opened the package. I have also filed a fraudulent claim with*********.
