Bank of the west will not resolve a lien on a paid boat loan. I paid off a loan 10 years ago and I have since sold my boat. Trying to transfer title to new boat owner. They are still showing a lien. They said they sent me paper work that I was suppose to submit to the pa DMV but the boat was never in pa or registered in pa. With that being said I have called three times to get the **** removed and every-time they tell me they will escalate it, and it will take 3 to 5 business days to be resolved. Its been 45 days and they are preventing me from selling my boat!!!! I know if they needed something from me they wouldnt wait 45 days to a resolution!!!!!

Bank will not follow through on auto payments.they will send e-mails saying they processed the payment but will not actually do it and then will send an email a week later saying you missed a payment. call them up and they just say the payments will start automatically the next month even thought it was set for a month previously.

BANK OF THE WORST!!!I would give zero if it were an option. I applied for an account with a great offer 21 months, zero interest Balance transfer, 4% fee. I was approved and disclaimer said could take up to 3 weeks (after I had already waited 3 weeks for card to arrive). 04/2023 Spoke with *****.1. ******** Transfer Check never arrived. I called at 3 weeks, was told they escalated my acct. and to call back for more info the following week. 05/2023 (Don't remember name.)2. I called back the next week and was told they didn't know what was going on. Told me to call during different hrs. 05/2023 (Don't remember name.)3. I called back during different hours and was told that their supervisors' Supervisor was going to give me a call during call back hours. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. 06/2023 Spoke with Grace ** Called in again and demanded to speak directly to a supervisor. Finally spoke with Supervisor ***** after 45 minute hold, she said the check didn't get submitted properly and she had to wait 24 hrs to hear back from the office. PROMISED no matter what she would call me back either way the next day to inform me what she could do. 06/11-06/12/2023 ***** NEVER CALLED BACK!!!This completely messed up my financial plan over the last three months and has made my budgeting, on-time payments, EVERYTHING, turn into a complete mess. They should be held liable for the higher interest I've had to pay in the interim with higher minimum, as well as fees I've accrued in late payments because the plan I had made and was relying on, was failed on their end. Then they've given me a run-around for 2 months to follow. If I could hire an attorney and go after them for false advertisement, bait and switch, pain and suffering and punitive damages, I'd do it in a heart-beat! I've never experienced such a complete Wreck of a Company in my 25 years of doing business with creditors and financial institutions as I have with Bank of the West. They're more like BANK OF THE WORST!!!

Worst loan Ive encountered, late fees to be assessed at the closing of account with no fiscal breakdown for the consumer. Negligence in staff at call centers, misinformation given to consumer as to actual payoff quote causing unknown fees to be assessed with notification to consumer. Request for paper statement of payoff quote never received. All in all this company gives the perception of a scam. Still waiting for payoff quote as they keep adding fees, since April Ive been quoted $169, $189, now $211 by a manager thats told me the price has been $211 and the only fees added were last month.
