I placed a GMC Hummer EV reservation (RES ID: ******) on 10/21/2020 thru the GMC website to reserve a Hummer EV SUT. I put down $100 deposit for the reservation. I have selected FREEMAN GMC in Grapevine as a selected dealership. I have visited the dealership numerous of times to make sure they would not be charging ADM or Market Adjustments on the vehicle. On January 14, 2021, it was time to convert my Reservation to an Order. I have met with salesman Fred ****** to complete my Order adding all of the accessories to my liking. At this time, I confirmed with him again that there were not going to be any ADM's or Market Adjustments on the vehicle. If there was, I had the right to move my reservation to another GMC Dealership. Mr. ****** confirmed to me that I would only be paying MSRP for the vehicle plus ttt, etc. This was a verbal agreement so I didn't have him get anything in writing. On March 21, 2022, I receive a call from the manager ******* ******** stating that my vehicle has arrived and he wanted to discuss pricing. This is when Mr. ******** stated that he would be charging me $200.000.00 for the vehicle due to the market adjustment. I asked the manager ******** why they are now backing out on their word and he stated that he never agreed on a total price on the vehicle. Since my vehicle is already arrived at Freeman's Dealership it is too late to move my reservation over to another Dealership. I told Mr. ******** that he is trying to steal this vehicle from me and the fact that I put this reservation on my own directly thru GMC's website over a year and a half ago. I have contacted GM and unfortunately they can't make the dealership do the right thing and sell the vehicle @ MSRP. I have reached out to the District Manager **** and have not heard back from him. I don't know if there is anything I can do except maybe to take them to court. It is obvious that a verbal contract is not worth anything to the dealership. Hopefully, it will in court!
