I was interested in clear table placements. I found Houston Acrylic and saw they had a 12x19 piece with rounded edges that would work for me. I sent a ******** message asking if these were good for placements. They replied that, yes, customers have used them as placements. I asked to confirm that the "HM on the example photo is NOT on the pieces because I wanted mine clear. They replied that it was just an example of engraving. I received my 8 placements and upon opening, I noticed the edges were square and rather sharp. 3 had chipped edges. One was bad enough I had 2 minor cuts on my fingers from removing the protective layer since I couldn't see the jagged edge behind the cover. I logically assumed the product I ordered had rounded edges since the descriptor photo showed this and had no verbiage stating that this was an additional option or not sent as the standard product. I emailed letting them know my confusion over the edge discrepancy and to let them know about the 3 damaged pieces and my concern for the children that would use these placements. I was willing to keep the squared edge ones asked the company to simply replace the 3 damaged ones. They stated that their online disclaimer stated there may be a chipped edge, which is correct, but I told them I did not think this applied to my product at the time of order because I thought I would receive rounded edges like the online photo showed. They remained firm that they would not replace the product. In a last attempt to be fair, I asked if the could replace the ONE that was damaged the worst (a $6 piece) and I would keep the rest and buy corner protection. I thought this was a fair solution. They refused to replace the $6 piece even though their website shows rounded edges and I was willing to keep the square but just wanted to have a safe product for my family, and I was willing to put my own safety measures in place but wanted the one very visibly damaged one replaced.
