I reached out to the front office to inform them of **** growing under my floors in my kitchen. When I placed the ticket maintenance came in and literally glued the hole closed like that fixes the **** issue. Then the office tells me they won't replace the floors until maintenance tells them directly. Maintenance told them and I've received no notice since then. Rent is NOT CHEAP. I pay $1900 every month. On time. There is no reason this community should be putting my health at risk and not taking this issue seriously or in a timely manner. I am currently in remission for cancer and I cannot afford to put my health at jeopardy because of a company's greed. I don't feel comfortable cooking in my kitchen. I don't feel comfortable breathing in my house.Since I've moved in the gate to the complex hasn't been closed ONCE. No exaggerating. I drive around with the gate code in my car for the day they miraculously close it. The security that they promote, INVISIBLE. This is *****, the pool hasn't been in service since I moved in. But "they're doing repairs" where? I had to get a gym membership because there gym here isn't a gym. It too is a moldy, infested outdated waste of time. I was so excited to move in here at first and the more and more I think on it, I would've been better off paying the extra money elsewhere.Initial Complaint

I have been having sanitation problems in my apartment unit for the past couple months now. I was made aware by a neighbor below me that they were in the hospital for a couple days due to respiratory issues caused by mold in their unit. After being made aware of the situation, I checked my air vents and found mold on the outside and all on the inside. When I brought the issue up to the manager, they never responded so I had to reach out again and threaten reporting them for them to actually do something. They sent someone out to vacuum the air vents which only cleaned out the dust and caused damage to the walls and ceiling. I sent another email about the damage and how the mold needs to be properly cleaned with a solution and the manager said it would be taken care of. It has been weeks and still nothing has been done. I sent another email to manager over a week ago about the mold still being present, that there is a leak in the living room window that filled up half a tupperware bowl when it rained, and there is a water stain in the ceiling that is turning black and leaking down the wall on my appliances. I have given management ample time to "fix" things and they won't even respond to my emails. The unit is a safety hazard to not only my health but to my dogs as well.Business response

We have also ordered a new living room window and will be professionally installed by a window/glass contractor. The air ducts were cleaned and now we are replacing the vent registers and cleaning the coils of the HVAC system.Initial Complaint

I spoke with the leasing office to lease an apartment from the Estates at Las colinas and during the conversaion, I was given the information about the charges related to rent alone and was not given any other mandatory charges that I'd have to pay monthly apart from the rent. This information was not provided to me until after I applied and approved. Here's what the welcome letter said about the extra charges: "The total monthly rent does not include trash, pest control, water, sewer, or cable charges. These will be an additional charge per month and will vary depending on usage." While I understand the usage charges are dependent and are calculated for Water and sewer, there's a mandatory fee for cable, amount of ~$45USD every month that I cannot avoid even if I do not use the cable. Based on the experience, I decided not to move into the apartment and requested the office to issue me the refund of the application fee of $104USD. Leasing office refusing me to issue the refund saying application fee is non refundable. If I was provided with the complete charges and correct information, I would not have applied in the first place. None of these charges were provided until after the application was approved in the welcome letter.Business response
