3 months still can't get my tags. Keep getting the run-around, won't answer my calls. The location I bought my car at blames the delay on another location. Had to file a grievance with Tx DMV in ******, that takes multiple weeks in the meantime my temp tags are expired. I shouldn't have to pay for more temp tags and a vehicle inspection just because the dealership hasn't filed the paperwork for the tags. They reissued another temp tag but only gave me a week on it, now that one is expired too. By law they have 45 days, it's been over 90Review from Shannon C

If I could give this joke of a dealership 0 stars I would- I live out of state (6 hours away) and I began dealing with a salesperson by the name of ******************* on Tuesday via web and phone. I have all of the text messages exchanged between **** and myself. I had a trade in vehicle and **** stated that I was good to go for the vehicle I wanted- financing approved and my husband on the loan with me. We put down a down payment on Thursday via phone and made Tray aware that since we live out of state 6 hours away we would be in on Saturday-one of two days off both me and my husband get from work. Oh and I was encouraged to just call into work so I could come pick up the new vehicle on Thursday or Friday instead of waiting until the weekend. We get to the dealership today after leaving home early this morning only to find out **** had blatantly lied to me- flat out lied and lied by omission. I was informed the dealership would not take my trade, and I was not even on the loan. After all afternoon sitting at this joke of a dealership and one of the sales managers mentioning that maybe i should just let my trade in get repossessed so I would not have two car notes,with the new car I did not get, we left, due to them not wanting to make anything right. Oh and the scammed us out of the down payment- said it would be maybe 2 days or so before we see it refunded back and kept putting it off when I asked numerous times for a receipt showing it was refunded- we never got a receipt before we finally left. We couldnt have left any earlier because they took my vehicle key from me and somehow disappeared for 3 hours. I attempted to ask to speak to ************ Cooley himself about this complete and utter ridiculousness that happened today, and I was denied. Maybe someone who sees this can get me in contact with him. If I could give zero stars I would. They have the worst sales people here. I went in to refinance and get an oil change I was helped by ******************* but he goes by ****** as well as the finance guy named **** and he was trying to get me to trade in my car for a 2023 equinox when I told him many times I didn't want to do that I wanted to try and fix my car first before making that kind of a decision. He made me sign a contract so I can take the equinox home while my car was being serviced which he said needed a lot of work done. He told me contracts don't get sent in on Thursdays that they wait til Monday so I'd be fine and my contract wouldn't be touched and that I can go back the next morning and bring the car back if I didn't want to keep the equinox. I texted him letting him know I wanted to stop by to take the car back and he said no it's fine you can keep driving the car while yours is getting serviced my manager knows about it so you're fine we won't touch the contract. Saturday comes and I was feeling iffy I told him I was stopping by to drop off the car and he later told me the contract got sent in without him knowing. I almost believed him but I realized he was lying and didn't feel bad about the whole thing when he saw me bawling my eyes out and walked right past me several times and looked me dead in the eyes and then looks at his co worker to tell her "the gates are closing." Because it was closing time. Thankfully one of the managers were able to help me with this mess. But I'd definitely recommend not coming here or at least ask for a different sales person! He was super unprofessional also, the vapes while talking to customers? While at work?? So unprofessional.Review from Latesha J

I brought a 2019 used car from Clay ********************** Chevolete In ****** off ******************, ****** **. ***** on April 26,2022 on September 7 my car was at the Clay ********************** Chrysler Jeep **************************** my car ran hot they said I needed a radiator and thermostat remind you I had this car only 4 months . So my warranty paid for my parts and the work. The service guy told me whoever had the car before me was putting the wrong coolant in it which why would I have to pay for anything someone else did. So In order for them to fix it the service guy told me that I had to get it flushed in order for me to not have to come back with in weeks to a month so I paid for it 2 get flush. Remind you I have been trying to speak with a manager or a GM which I never could talk to and never could get a loaner. So I picked my car up September 13 on October 14 my car ran hot again and wouldn't run so I called the dealership and informed How did I just get my car fix just a month ago and I'm having the same issue?? So I got my car towed up there . They customer service is terrible they would hang up on **, keep ** on hold and when you would ask for a manager u could never speak to one. My bank and even my *************** tried and the same thing . I wouldn't refer anyone to get a car from them . So back to my car situation, so I went up there that Saturday the manager female in that office is rude and a liar she told me she would have some one to see what's wrong with my car but I couldn't get a loaner til Monday they don't give them out on Saturday. So I went up there Monday since I didn't hear anything , it took the man **** 30 mins to look for my car. They messed up my new radiator and tried to say it was an ************** that damage it, spoke with the insurance and warranty ask did I have a wreck inform no. DO NOT SHOP AT CLAY COOLEY CHEVROLET !!! YOU WILL BE LIED TO, STRUNG ALONG, AND IT WILL BE LIKE PULLING TEETH TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK WHEN CANCELLING ONE OF THEIR OVERPRICED RIP OFF ADD-ON WARRANTIES (THEY TELL YOU ITS A 12 WEEK TURNAROUND FOR A REFUND, WHEN THE WARRANTY COMPANY IS LITERALLY A FEW MILES AWAY). ALSO, FOUND OUT MY TAGS HAD BEEN SITTING AT THEIR DEALERSHIP FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG ONLY AFTER I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT THEM (MY TEMPORARY TAGS HAD ALREADY BEEN EXPIRED FOR 8 DAYS). OH, AND THEY'LL TRY TO BRIBE YOU WITH A TANK OF GAS IF YOU WILL LEAVE THEM A FIVE STAR REVIEW, SO KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN YOU SEE THE GOOD REVIIEWS LISTED. TLDR: They lie, they deny lying even when confronted with proof, they don't fully complete paperwork, and they can't even complete the most basic of services.. 0/10 stars I came here 2 months ago and bought a Used 2019 Chevy Equinox. Here is my experience. They lied to me about my credit being good, but since I haven't bought a car before that they could only get me a 9% rate. Which is INSANE, since I have a score over 700. They told me they could "buy down" the rate if I bought services off their menu. So every penny I would save would be thrown into one of their overpriced services. They supposedly bought it down to a 3.25%. Which means they really started with something less than that and just flat lied to me about the 9%. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get a pre-approved quote before going in. And since this is my first car purchase, I let them take advantage and I ended up getting ~$3,400 worth of services I didn't want cuz every time I refused a service they increased the rate back up to account for it. I was at their mercy. I bought the car and couldn't sleep for 2 days for how bad I knew I was screwed over. So I used their 3 day "Family" return policy to threaten returning the car. They refused to admit they lied to me, but told me they could cancel the services and keep the 3.25% rate. ONLY after I got a quote of my own for 3.87% from the SAME PLACE they got a quote to PROVE they were lying to me about the 9%. I accepted their cancellation and kept the car. It's been 2 months since then and I had to call the cancellation people myself and ask why the $3400 hadn't fallen off my loan yet. They said the paperwork the dealer sent them was incomplete. And turns out, they were right. It didn't have any of the crucial information in it. So I had to use my copy and fill it all out myself with the original information they claimed they would fill out later. On top of that, I still haven't heard from them about my license plates / registration for the car.
