I am very unsatisfied with the customer service at Gold ********************** and cannot recommend them. My pool was built quickly and it looks great but I have had a number of issues. Only a couple weeks after my pool was finished, the concrete decking cracked extensively and the company says it is not under warranty. I wanted to keep my original slab that hasn't cracked in ***************************************** more to replace it. Their concrete cracked in two weeks! And now they refuse to even come look at it. In addition, they replace my ******** system and I have had to have that repaired three times since they finished. In addition, they installed a light incorrectly and refuse to fix that too. You should think twice before signing with Gold Medal. Wish I would have. At the very least, demand they warranty their work.

They put some piers under the pool before construction and gave us a lifetime warranty for this. However they did not put piers under the surrounding patios areas including the large walk around and screened in patio. Our walk around and garden area that they constructed has had slitting in the grout and tile facing which they came out and repaired during the first year. Now after the year ended, they will not repair large cracks in the patio stating that it is due to settling! Why didnt they put piers under the whole thing?

Based on my experience, I would discourage using Gold Medal for building a new pool. The construction process was problematic, and the project manager showed little concern for workmanship and lacked knowledge in delivering a clean finished product. They often hire subcontractors who are not skilled enough to keep up with their workload. Although my pool was completed in November 2022, I started experiencing problems with wet ground and surroundings shortly after it was filled with water. The leak was so severe that my neighbors complained about their wet yards late at night. Despite it being five months since the construction was completed, the leak has not been resolved, and my communication with Gold Medal has been unsatisfactory. After spending over $250k, I am left with a leaky pool, unhappy neighbors, sleepless nights, loss of usage, and a significant waste of time trying to communicate with them. Therefore, I urge you to conduct proper research before working with this pool company.

Gold Medal Pools serviced my pool, and in the process, unintentionally emptied my pool of 20,000 gallons. I called three times and was told I would be receiving a call. No call. I told them I had an upcoming pool party and was concerned about the fill time. Still no call. I also sent photos to show them the empty pool and to show the potential for damage to the plaster. Still no response. This company does not communicate. No phone calls, no apologies, no attempt to make things right, no offer to pay for the wasted water. I wish I could say this was the first issue, but it is not. I do not recommend this company.

This is from a recent email I sent to Gold Medal Pools (they bought out A+ pools and drove it into the ground). 1. You were there to repair a leak. The pool still leaks. 2. The main drain is now plugged. It worked fine before your "repair". 3. You did not consult me on the correct color, and chose a color that I DID NOT APPROVE and do not like. 4. You left my yard a mess and got plaster all over my sidewalk, coping, VEHICLE, and brick driveway, which is not coming off. 5. You got gray plaster all over my stone and globbed it on like a bunch of amateurs. This was a high end residential pool that should have been treated with care. It looks like a 10 year old plastered it. 6. You left discarded pool parts laying in my yard. This includes eyball fittings, drain covers and discarded plaster. 7. You over charged me for "eyeball fittings" You replaced 4, and charged me for 18. 8. The skimmer door hangs up on the side, disallowing water to flow to the drain. In addition, since the main drain is plugged, it nearly burns up the pump if I don't fill the pool with water every day (because it leaks). 9. You never completed the coping repair as promised by Bob. 10. The skimmer grout is the wrong color. My grout is tan. You used bright freaking white. 11. Countless times you have been contacted to repair the problem and service the pool. You have not been out for a service in about 6 weeks and the pool is green and looks like a pond. Each time I get lots of promises and NO action. Do NOT use Gold Medal Pools.

Gold Medal Pools accounting department has some serious issues with their customer billing and records keeping. I have been trying to get in touch with someone for the last 3 weeks, concerning another billing error on a recent statement. We previously had A+ pools servicing our pool and then Gold Medal Pools bought them out. I have never had any billing issues prior with A+ pools and we were always on time and paid in full, every month.
Now, since transitioning to Gold Medal Pools within the past few months we have had 3 separate times where discrepancies were found with our monthly statement and when I bring it to their attention, I am told that "we will look into it", but I never hear back from anyone and I see additional charges added to the next months billing. When I try and contact someone, I am on hold for more than 10 minutes before a recording comes on and says "if you would like to leave a message, press 1" so I did, and then it tells me "this mailbox is not accepting messages" and it just hangs up on you.
So I then sent an e-mail on December 28th, after receiving a bill on line the day before. This billing statement says that I owe for the month coming up (January, 2022- since they now bill 1 month in advance), in addition it says that I have a previous balance too. When I questioned this the last time I spoke to someone with GMP on 12/16/2021, they told me check # **** was never received. We sent the check on 12/1/2021 and my bank says that it cleared on 12/7/2021, yet speaking with GMP on 12/16/2021, they said that they don't show receipt of our check (Yet I have proof from my bank that it had already cleared 9 days prior!).
Anyway, I sent another follow up e-mail again on 12/30/2021, asking once again for a response and an update concerning our current balance and I have yet to hear from anyone. So as of 12/31/2021 I no longer want Gold Medal Pools to be servicing my pool. I will find another company who has a better records keeping department than you do.
