On 3/10/2024 this business arrived to mow my yard. They claimed the first mow was done based on an hourly rate and the number of trash bags used. Very odd, but I went ahead and scheduled them. I received a charge of $136.40 for a full mow! I went back and looked at my security footage and verified I was overcharged based on both the time their workers were on my property as well as the number of bags they claim they filled (you are charged per-bag ON TOP of the hourly rate!)I let them know I had proof of the incorrect accounting and they said they would review. I also let them know I was concerned because the crew was working on my yard and a neighbor across the street simultaneously, and so it probably was an issue with trying to split that time up since their workers fluctuated between yards over the course of 1 hour and 23 minutes. I just recently received an email that they don't care to review my proof and stuck with the original charge. They are attempting to steal from their customers and don't have the decency to apologize and fix once proof is available of their scam. Very unfortunate, I was planning on using this company for the remainder of the year, but now that I know their scam I'm out!

To Whom It May ******************************** has serviced this specific property for 8 years for the previous owner. We service this property, along with the neighbors property across the street.

When ******************** purchased his home, our previous customers highly recommended our services to the new owner. He called to have service performed. We sent a full document of our services which explains that we charge a labor rate for all first services. We use GPS trackers when our crews perform work so that we're able to track the length of time spent on each property. The first cut of the season will always be more expensive, as we explained, because we scalp the lawn to remove dormant grass and also bag and take away all the clippings. We charge $3 per bag for disposal. Scalping allows grass to come in thicker and healthier and will provide a more beautiful lawn.

******************** spoke with our office staff and was furious about the amount due. ****** tried to calm him and exchanged a few emails with him regarding the service. She explained she would look into the matter further, as we wouldn't want to upset any customer. Never once was he told that we wouldn't review his footage. We have all the emails if needed. We still have not charged this customer and have offered to lower his bill to $50, more than half off to appease him, but he has slandered our company on every review panel and social media outlet available.

      Thank you

      Business response

I apologize for the delayed response. We performed service at this customer's home on 9/19/20, over 3 years ago, so I had to research history to reply to this matter. ****************** had requested that the following services be performed by our company and had agreed to the estimate given:

Remove the complete flowerbed, pull 10 bushes, remove a crepe myrtle ***** remove all plants in the bed, remove all steel edging and replace with sod. Also bring in 4-yards of fill dirt to level the front lawn.

9/19/20- Our 3 man crew worked on ********************** property for 7 hours and 18 minutes to complete the above work. We were also out the expense of purchasing 4-yards of fill dirt which is used for leveling a lawn, and the sod which was also installed. This is purchased from a nursery.

After completion of the work, ****************** complained that there were clumps of dirt left on his lawn. This was a clean dirt and sand mix that clumps until watered and is broken down. This was explained to ******************. He told our office staff numerous times that he would make payment, but we never received one cent of the $1,743.93 that was owed to our company. We had to pay our employees, also the materials (sod and fill dirt), and our office staff for the hours they had to put in to organize the job, and chasing him for payment, Which again, we never received one cent. This is theft of service.

We have been in business for 28 years and have over ***** loyal customers from the excellent service we provide. This customer is a thief. He never planned on paying for the service he requested.
