      I have a 2008 GMC K3500. In November of 2022 I called C&R Autowerx and explained the situation with the truck and ****************'s (owner) told me to bring my truck in and he could have it fixed in a couple of days. After 3 weeks of C&R Autowerx having my truck, ***** called me and said my truck was ready on December 2, 2022. I paid $1500.00 cash and received my receipt. After a couple of days driving my truck, the problem is still there. After contacting ***** 2 or 3 times to have the issue corrected, his solution is to put a toggle switch in place of correcting the problem which is not what I paid for. When I asked for a refund, ****************'s refused a refund and again offered to put in a toggle switch for no extra charge. I just want my money back so I can take it to a ************** and have it fixed correctly.

      It was explained to the customer that he had another shop do a illegal modification to his vehicle and that we could ATTEMPT to correct the issue.  He was notified that there was no warranty with any aftermarket tuning and that if it did not correct his issue then he would need to return the vehicle to stock.  He said he couldn't afford to do so and that the other shop had kept his parts.  I explained that the only other option would be to bypass the transfer pump control by putting it on a manual switch and said that we would do that free of charge but he refused that option.  I explained to him that I could not refund his money because it was not a issue with what we done but because of what the original shop had done.  I have tried to work with him multiple times but he has been quite difficult during the whole process.  If any other information is needed please just let us know what we can do to resolve the issue.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      If the allegations are true and the modifications are illegal, why would **************** agree to take my truck into his shop? He did not tell me that he could ATTEMPT  to do the work, he told me that he had done the same kind of truck the week before and it turned out great. There was never any discussion of any kind of warranty.  Yes, he did say that if I had all of the parts to the truck, he could return it back to stock, but that was not in the discussion before bringing the truck to his shop. He did say that he would not recommend putting the truck back to stock because it wouldn't be right. Yes, I refused the $3.00 toggle switch to be put on my truck because that was not what I paid for. I paid for the second fuel tank to be working properly.  The only reason I took my truck to him is because he said that it would be no problem to fix. I just want my $1,500.00 back to get my truck fixed properly since **************** can't do it.

      We have tried to work with the customer but he has been difficult from the beginning. When the truck came in it had multiple fault codes stored in the ecm. The service we supplied corrected all the issues with the truck except for his second fuel tank to transfer to primary tank.  I have offered him multiple solutions and he has refused all of them.  The whole issue and the reason the tank will not transfer is because of the work that was performed at the other shop.  This was explained to him and was also explained that it was the reason that we had such a hard time even completing what we did complete but without the truck being returned to 100% stock condition the tank will not transfer.  I have offered to do all of that work free of charge on top of already having purchased the ecm files that I cannot get refunded.  The customer made a uneducated decision having his vehicle modified the way it was at the other facility and we did all we could to try and remedy the issue.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I have a reason to be difficult. **************** assured me that he was able to complete the job correctly. Regardless of how the truck was before,  *************** positively stated to me that he could fix my truck, telling me  that it would only take a day to complete because he had already had the program from the truck he had just completed. **************** ended up keeping my truck for 3 weeks. This is my my work truck that I make my living with and therefore I  was unable to work while Mr. ************ was supposed to be fixing it. **************** did not do what he said he was going to do. I would have never paid $1,500.00 to **************** if he had not reassured me that it would be no problem to fix my truck,  also telling me that he had just completed a truck just like mine and it worked as it was supposed to. The solutions offered by **************** was to put a manual toggle switch to transfer the fuel or to put truck back to stock. Again,  that is not what we agreed on. I have spoken to other shops and people and they all agree that the truck can be programmed for the tanks to transfer correctly.  This is the reason I am wanting my $1,500.00 back to have my truck fixed correctly.
