I have called to cancel my policy multiple times they refuse to cancel or send the check for my cash balance on the policy, I keep getting sent late payment notices and they told me a check for only $50 was sent when I was told it was more than that. I just want to be finished with the copy and this is becoming an every month thing.Review from Jason M

They would not give me access to the website to pay the bills. Every time I try to log in it tells me to contact their customer support. Then they tell me everything looks correct and don't fix anything. They say to wait 2 days and try again and it still doesn't work Then I tell them to cancel the policy and they never cancel the policy I have to keep calling them back and they keep telling me to email a different email address to cancel. These guys are a scam and their customer service is a joke.Globe Life Liberty National Division Response

The previous response was submitted in error.Liberty National Life Insurance Company (the Company) acknowledges Mr. ******* complaint.Once a customer updates, or adds, their contact information to our system, it ordinarily takes one (1) business day before attempting to register an account online.According to our records, it appears Mr. ******* account was registered online on September 23, 2024. Additionally, it further appears Mr. ******* requested to cancel his policy. However, a Request for Policy Loan or CSV form was emailed to Mr. ******* to cash surrender his policy, yet, it does not appear we have received the completed form yet. Once we receive the completed Request for Policy Loan or CSV form, we will cash surrender Mr. ******* policy. Thank you.Review from Heather F

My Mother died in January 2023. She had a cancer policy since the 1990s with this company. I was told to file a claim via the cancer policy, I have to collect itemized bills for all the treatments she received and submit them along with a claim form. I have sent the bills in, along with her death certificate and the claim form, no less than 4 times. I have contacted this company on 05/13/2024, 05/22/2024, 06/21/2024, 06/25/24, 07/11/2024, 07/12/2024, and on 08/30/2024. On 3 of those occasions, I was told that they could not find the records I had e-mailed in. During the third phone call, I was told that the e-mail address that one of their customer service representatives had given me was wrong. I emailed the records in again. I called again and was told that some of the records were received, but it did not appear that they were all received because there were 9 emails of records and they did not have a record of that. I called to check if they were received, the customer service representative could not tell me because she could not get a hold of anyone in the claims department. I called the next day and she could not tell me if the records were received because their system was down. I lodged a complaint on their portal on their website on 08/17/2024 just asking that someone call me to let me know what records they have received and what they had not received. Nothing. I called again today, 08/30/2024. I was told that I filed a dispute and it takes 14 days for it to be resolved and I need to wait. I received a check for $1,300 on 07/13/2024. I don't know what records they have. I don't know what records they reviewed. I have asked numerous times for someone to call me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told no, that I was speaking to the right person. But, again, they couldn't help me. They can't tell me what records they have received and they won't let me talk to anyone else. Appalling customer service. This afternoon, I had the pleasure of talking to *************************. She was very respectful and knowledgeable on each question I had on my policies. She listened to each question and was understanding and not ******* me on my decisions. Usually my experience with this company is fantastic and my experience today was fantastic. I would give them less than one star if I could. I am the guardian of an incapacitated adult. We have had a policy with Liberty National for my cousin since 1981, that is 43 years and for all those years I have never had one minutes trouble. Enter Globe Life. I paid a six month payment on March 1, 2024 through my bill pay with my bank. I have been paying this policy with the same bill pay for over 10 years. They posted half of the payment. Called me and told me that my pymt was late. I sent them a bank statement and a bill pay statement from my bank. Now they are saying that I can only pay three months at a time. My question to them was if that is the case, why is a six month and annual payment an option? I said all that to say this, if you are considering life insurance, look somewhere other than Globe Life. My guess is that because this policy has been in effect for over 40 years, the rate is quite low and they would prefer to lapse the coverage so I would have to pay additional monies.Globe Life Liberty National Division Response

Liberty National Life Insurance Company (the Company) acknowledges Ms. ****** complaint, and based on our records, ************** policy was issued in 1994, not 1981.Although ************** has been paying for ************** premiums, our records indicate he is the owner and payor of his policy, and he is the only person who can change or modify his policy, including changing the premium mode to one (1) month, Quarterly, Semi-Annual or Annual. In order for ************** to change the premium mode, we require a ***** of ******** and/or HIPAA form for our **************** to review, assigning her rights to change or modify ************** policy; or ************** may contact our *************************** at ************** to change his premium mode. Currently, ************** policy is set up on quarterly premium mode, however, ************** attempted to pay the premiums semi-annual. Therefore, due to the premium mode being quarterly mode, the premium payment received on March 12, 2024 for $96.30 was applied as for the quarterly payment ($48.60) for March, April and May, and the additional funds ($47.70) were applied towards the loan balance.We did not receive the June 2024 quarterly premium payment of $48.60 until August 11, 2024, which was applied for ***** July and August. At this time, the paid-to-date is September 1, 2024. Thank you.Review from Juanita B

This company is hard to get in touch with! If you have an emergency for help, you are in bad shape because they are going to answer the phone! We have also experienced higher than normal call volumes in July. They refuse to pay my claim been paying them over 8 years!!! Have called and talked to my rep over and over get ignored or excuses.
