August through October 2023 Repair of RV camping trailer Negligence of Camping World of ************* not securing slide within camper causing water damage after two-months sitting in torrential Florida rains while in their parking lot awaiting repairs.Camping World of ************* is the worst. The customer service is poor, management gives you a run around and doesnt stand by their word. Damage was caused by their negligence in not securing the slide all the way into the camper before leaving outside in their parking lot for two-months in torrential Florida rains. Many pictures were sent to Camping World via e-mail of the damage and shotty workmanship they caused and performed. Shotty workmanship left screws not screwed in all the way and a s**** in a bracket left out. Camping World did agree to repair the damage. Camping World said they would order the stock material for repair and notify me when material was received. I kept calling inquiring if material was received. Camping World said I could drop off for repairs and that I would receive an e-mail with confirmation of the appointment, which I never received. Once I requested an e-mail stating this would be of no cost to me, it went silent, very silent. Camping World management quit taking my phone calls and wouldnt respond to e-mails.Initial Complaint

Gander sold ** a brand new rv with out the ****** safety pin that keeps the tow in place. We are new to rv and this is our first one. The unit was delivered to my house while were not home and looked like very little care was taken dropping off the unit on my slanted driveway because tires were not chocked and the crank mechanism that the front of the unit rests on the ground was bent. The battery was dead but they remedied the issue with a new battery. The missing safety ****** pin was not delivered with the rv and we found out after the rv came loose from the tow ball but luckily the retainer chains were on and that kept the trailer with our truck but damage was done to both rv and brand new truck. We paid towing and deductibles for both vehicles and would just like to be made whole. Luckily there were no injuries but it was a horrible situation that could have been avoided if I got all my safety gear including the ****** pin that would have kept the unit on my tow ball. We called a few times and explained and were ignored with irrelevant excuses. We would like to be made whole.Initial Complaint

Bought an RV and added a 4 year Paint Fabric protection warranty for an additional cost of $2,000. 2.5 years later, interior vinyl has disintegrated and is flaking off. Brought RV into service where it sat at *********** gander RV for over 2 months while they "worked" on our claim to get the seats/ upholstery, repaired/ replaced under warranty. Finally got a call back saying our claim was denied. After several emails back and forth, they then tell me that it'll cost $5,527.65 to replace the seats and bench so if we want to have that done we need to come up with an additional $2,977.65, that would put me in for $4,977.65!!! Absolutely not!!! Unbelievable!! Do not purchase a paint and fabric protection warranty or an RV from Gander RV or Metrotech warranty company absolutely a complete scam, modern day robberyInitial Complaint

Gander rv sold me a camper with existing water damage to the roof. They are unwilling to do anything about it.Customer response

I bought a camper from Gander rv in ********, **. After taking possession of the camper I crawled on top of the roof to add a coat of roofing sealant to help protect and maintain the roof. It was then I noticed an existing hole in the roof with existing water damage to the roofing substructure. I have discussed this with gander rv in mesquite and they are reluctant to help me or do anything about it.Initial Complaint

Business is Horrible, we bought our unit in may, TX was in a drought, then in aug when the drought let up and it rained for the 1st time in forever we noticed after in the bunk room where wht was coulda thought be a stain was actually from a leak. I called them and told them and let them know they asked me to send pictures so we sent them pictures in the text. They messaged and set up a tech appt to have their tech out to acess damage, the tech came out &looked at everything then he fixed a hole in the top of the slide. Put in a parts request. They took forever to call back now they are saying they can't fix it that it was a new issue, I found a photo of the bunk room where you can see the area that was a stain in may the srvce director said he cant really tell whats in the pic, when it's the exact same spot. I brought up they should have had it inspected he replied with it was inspect 2 times and said the inspector didn't report it, he said there was no notes in the system of knowledge of it. Gave us multiple story after story. There's a huge dry rot also. They were very persistent in get the unit delivered when I told them if they needed a day or two or whatever that was fine, well now we know why they wanted to get off their lot so quick. We aren't sure if any mold my fiancé has severe asthma w breathing treatments so to know we could be breathing in this is very alarming for a company to just brush off. Also a 7yr old that can't even go In the room cause the corner. We live 45 min from gander in mesquite and the day of delivery our ground where we live was very muddy and when they delivered they left huge ruts in the yard&still there. We're multiple things not fixed that were said to be fixed by the time of delivery. We were told the fireplace would be fixed upon dlvry, it was not thankfully my fiancé checked it cause the wires were cut ,could have been a fire. We purchased an RV in September 2020 and purchased the extended warranties. In May 2022, we sold the RV and was told that we could get a prorated refund the extended warranties. On May 29, I talked with Finance dept and they confirmed. They said the submitted the request but I have called back multiple times, left messages, and they won't return my calls. On May 12, a Gander Salesperson called to see if I still had my camper. I explained that I had sold my camper and had requested a refund on my extended warranties. He said that he would check in to, sent me text messages that the accounting team was going to call me. I didn't receive any calls and when I sent him two text back about an update, he is no longer communicating with me.Initial Complaint

Gander Rv/ camping world. We purchased a Fifthwheel last year and have had nothing but troubles since the first day we brought it home. We told them we were bringing it back that day and they said we couldn't. We have been trying to resolve through management specialist there is a list of work that needs to be done. Some has been done. Things need to be redone. We have not had a camping trip yet with everything working or fixed. We reached out many of times. One employee seems to try her best to get us in and help is but apparently one person can't get the job done. It leaks it's cheaply made and the price we paid for and the range that this camper is in we shouldn't have one thing wrong with it purchasing brand new. From leaks to missing parts broken parts appliances and electronics broke not working. It's a junk. Almost a year later and we are frustrated and disgusted. ***** and **** *******Initial Complaint

We purchased an RV on 11/26/21 and had it delivered on 12/15/21, after the awning was replaced. There was supposed to have been an inspection done by their techs prior to delivery. In January, I went to change out some flooring in a section, and found heavy black mold in a corner. We scraped it, used bleach and then painted with TSP, before putting new flooring on. Now, 2 weeks ago, we went to replace the remainder of the tongue-&-groove boards that they had already replaced with lighter one. When we pulled up the boards where the floor had been soft and mushy for the past 2 months, we found significant sub-floor damage, extensive mold and wood rot. Progressive is denying our claim, because according to the investigator, this is a much older problem than prior to our purchase. The floor had been painted with TSP prior and new flooring laid prior to our seeing the RV. The roof was not inspected by the techs, nor any repairs made, before we bought it. Even though we had been told that all the safety checks and any needed repairs were done, before we had it delivered. The mold is causing health issues, but we live in the RV, so we are having to use mold remediation spray, my husband is patching the roof, but the floor will need to be replaced.Initial Complaint

Our AC unit issue was misdiagnosed after we tried to communicate what was happening with it. A new unit was shipped and installed in our camper and did not fix the problem. We were told in order for them to continue and fix the problem, we had to pay the shipping for the new ac unit. This is absolutely appalling considering that they did not properly diagnose the problem and there would not be a shipping charge had they done their job right the first time. This charge was told to us AFTER we established the problem was not fixed after their work. We should not have to pay these charges since they wouldn't exist had they done their job properly and took our concerns seriously.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 5th wheel travel trailer from Camping World of South Las Vegas, May of 2021. To this day 13 June 2022, there has been no title filed with the DMV. My bank, the lien holder has not seen the title or any proof of it. I have spoke to the Nevada DMV multiple times who show now record of a title filed or even a correspondence attempting to get one filed. I have contacted the dealership on numerous occasions, I have even called their CEO Marcus L****** office number and filed complaints with them. The first call, (which was in March 2022) I was told they would look into it and shortly after I got a call from the dealership asking for my Lein holders information. Still no title in the system. I once again called the CEO office number, where I am told that the dealership has received the duplicate title and it is being processed through. How if the DMV shows no record of a title does the dealership have a duplicate title, why also have I not seen a copy of it, or better yet, why hasn't my bank received it. The second time I call and told they have a duplicate title suddenly, I ask why hasn't it been processed through, I am told I need to wait, there are processes for this and it take time. I think over a year since purchase is far long enough for any process.
