I rented a house at **** **** **** ****** ** ***** from October 19 2021 through July 9 2022 through Luxe Point. I got a text from co-owner (***** ***) on April 25 to call him. In the call I was told that we would not be able to renew our lease in October because they were selling the house, and because of that they would allow for early termination of our lease when we found a new place. We were fine with this but initially did not plan on moving until closer to October. We eventually decided to move sooner because it was not too inconvenient for us and we knew that our landlords were ready to get their properties sold. On May 27th I texted the landlords with notice of vacancy being July 9th (43 day notice because they requested a 30 day notice.) Following this, no paperwork was asked for, we were just told to leave the keys inside the home and wait 2-3 weeks for the return of our $1300 deposit. On July 28th I asked for an update through text and got no response. After a few unanswered calls and 5 unanswered texts, on August 22 (over a month after we moved) I sent one last text to the only form of contact that we were given for them. I was able to find the other co-owner (******* ***) on ******** and got no reply. We were finally able to find another phone number on one of their ******** posts and found it to be ***** ***'s personal phone. When we were able to talk to ***** we were told he'd lost the ability to use the other phone number. We got no other explanation as to why we haven't heard from them considering they have forms with our contacts, just that we would have $300 withheld from our deposit. We asked for a list of deductions, pictures of damage, and while in the call he told us he would give it to us, we never got it. The next day, after accusing him of violating Section 92.109 of the Texas Property Code, he said he would reconsider. Since then, after multiple calls and over 15 texts, to his personal phone, we have had zero communication back from him.
