***** and his "crew" started on our project on May 24, 2022. He informed me that the entire kitchen remodel and room build in our garage would take three weeks (maybe four). Let's be clear...his "crew" consisted of one man who worked his tail off from **** each day. I always assume that workdays are 8-5 with a break for lunch, but some companies don't care. *****'s "crew" got walls and electrical done in two weeks and then things took a downward turn. ***** ended up having some personal issues (not that he was ever on the job site) which made his communication almost completely stop. He didn't respond to emails or text messages for days, and I even had to get my adult son to call him so he would answer the phone. In early July, he started asking me to send funds directly to his countertop vendor. I repeatedly asked where my money went, and he never gave a straight answer. No one showed up for 17 days with no other explanation other than "funding issues." So, 11 weeks (July 29, 2022) in to a 3-week project I had paid him $33,000. When ***** does communicate, it's usually to tell me that something came up or that the "crew" won't be there. I feel like he has no sense of urgency or compassion *** others and their situations. Where exactly did my $33,000.00 go? Finally, let's not forget that ********* ***** (the woman that posted a review above) is his wife. And don't come for me. I do have the estimate with my name on it and screenshots of every single text message. Do not use this company unless you have unlimited time, patience and extra funds. The project was finally completed on August 24, 2022...14 weeks after it started and 10 weeks over the allotted time frame.

****** your review is full of false information. Nowhere on our contract or in any email were you ever told your project would be completed in 3 weeks. You originally delayed US by one month, because you did not have the funds to start. Then you added multiple change orders which also delayed the project. HD Construction Group is my company, and due to the fact I gave birth at 22 weeks and spent weeks in the hospital and my baby is still in the hospital we had additional delays. During which we were always in communication with you. The project was completed to your satisfaction and we STILL have not been paid the full amount owed. The only person who does not have patience or compassion for others is you. We would like to receive the remaining balance on the project.

My review is completely true. I have 175 pages of text messages from ***** including deadlines, no shows, and begging for additional funds before completion because he used my funds elsewhere. You have been paid the agreed upon amount after deductions for time delays, kitchen rentals, and additional food costs that you agreed to. I have the emails and Zelle receipts to prove such. Now, let's talk about crooked handles, flooring that has started separating, sconces that I didn't approve, etc. I'm done with your attempts at emotional manipulation. Leave me alone.

Right, you keep saying you have these "texts" with completion dates but can't seem to furnish them. Maybe because they don't exist. You absolutely did not hold up your end of the agreement and are therefore in breech. The only funds that's ere ever asked for were what YOU OWED. The fact you can't understand this is mind boggling. You are delusional and a flat out liar. The sconces were put in at the request of your son and you did not pay for them. Nor did you pay for the quartz countertop upgrade. Leave you alone? You continue to attack our business and integrity so I will absolutely defend myself.
