On Aug 1, their movers damaged my tv stand. Requests for compensation have been ignored. I sent pictures via email.Customer response

I scheduled a move with Teleport Movers for 6/2.I was required to put a $70 deposit down and pay the remainder after the move .While moving my items the movers damaged the doorway to my old apartments. When i brought it to there attendance they told me to contact the number I setup the move with to take out a claim. As we were in route to the destination they purposely took a wrong turn. I called them multiple times and waited 15min for them to arrive with my items.When they arrived I asked what happened and they stated they got lost and their phone died.One of the movers had a bag from taco Bueno in his hands.I added that to the claim. AS WE WERE MOVING ONE OF THE MOVERS WAS CHARGING HIS PHONE. I had no problem with this. However at the end of the move I couldn't find the charger and asked him about it. He said he stuck in one the boxes. I found out that was untrue after unpacking. They also damaged a dresser which I have pics of. When I tried to file the claim that following Monday i was told they had no such process and the movers denied taking or damaging anything. I sent him pics& videos and he said the workers call me back to work out some type of compromise. They never called.After constantly calling the manager he called me a few racial slurs (nigger,monkey, and ******) and told me he didn't care If I left a bad review because he already got paid for the job.I need a full refund my *********** charged me for the doorway damage.Business response

I do remember talking to you because majority of the conversation when you brought this to my attention was via text msn and then I called you back to let you know that I have received the video where you are showing the doorway to your old apt and also you told me one of the movers was charging his phone with your charger and that later on you realized that charger was missing and this is all I have from you everything else you added to the attachments was not disclosed to me and that is easy to know because I dont have those pics and you never mentioned that to me so you cannot tell otherwise.
A damage like that one its something that you realize immediately not a few hrs later. A damage like that one is something that needs to be brought to the company attention right there on the spot because that way we will be present you, me and the movers. We were there loading back and forth and you told the movers but the movers told you that was already like that that they did not damage the doorway and in the video I have that looks super dity, old and rotten and I told you that one of the movers were going to go back to your place to give you a new charger eventhought they did not take anything I told you we were going to give you a new one and I asked you if you were going to be there but you said No, I dont trust on them so leave it in the outside next to the door you can check cameras so you can see the movers arrived. Im still willing to send another charger to replace the one that you missed
You and I talked 2 or 3 times only and the conversations were always respectful with good tone of voice, I never treated you bad and by you stating that I called you a few racial slurs calling you monkey and mayate thats something I will not tolerate and I do want to call you a liar because I never treated you like that NEVER! We never talk about reviews, I do not mind reviews because thats a way for the customer to share their experience but one thing is sharing and another way different thing is lying to get some attention. Thanks GOD my calls every single call is recorded and I have that as a back up to show I never treated bad.
My movers also took several pictures for her furniture because several funiture was already with damages. I attached the pics in this reply
No refund will be provided since we completed the job and you cannot get this for free, you paid for moving services from point A to point B and thats what we did.

Send me the pics because the picture of the chipped dresser and of the couch. My table was loose not my dresser. And all calls are recorded just subpoena your cell phone provider. Would you like to take the legal route? Since you're denying your workers stealing my charger. They never came. You only returned 1 phone call which you said your workers would drop the charger off at the front desk they never did. And the wood is not rotted especially since maintenance did weatherization beginning of the year mi called you multiple times to inform you and never answered any of the calls.Customer response

I have via text msn a video only a video of the rotted door frame, that is all you brought to my attention besides the charger situation. The couch and the chipped dresser I have nothing coming from you.
You can take the route you want and not because the charger is missing that means the movers took it so show me with facts they took it, show me a picture, show me videos where you caught them, I told you that if a charger was missing i did not mind give you another one to make sure you are ok not because we took it and my movers delivered the charger without contacting you and left it in the door as you requested and again I do not mind deliver again another charger at your place and this time I will take pictures that we arrived
Every call you did I took it and I cannot refund you anything and yes, I can share with you all the pictures with the pre damages your furniture had

This is the last communication I received from you regarding the charger. Y'all didn't leave shit! My apartment manager will confirm that. Again attach the pictures of the damaged dresser. Not the chair or table. The dresser. And I think I do have proof of them using my charger. Also address the racist slurs you used towards me. You definitely called me a Mayate. Movers were inefficient to the point of exploitative and incapable of wrapping ****************** or being careful unless babysat. They used my sheets rather than their moving blankets and did not finish unwrapping items or put the bed back together properly or rebook up the washer. Ended up paying close to 5 times I was originally quoted for. Movers and owner were rude demeaning, deceitful and manipulative during the whole move and during the the attempt at a resolution for the damages and inconveniences.Many of my most items were damaged and owner gave me a meager refund for the inconvenience then claimed it also included the damages. ***** then refused to tell me who they were insured by and refused to even go through insurance after saying there was a claim in process.Business response

Hello,
We moved ********* back on Fri, 16 Dec 2022 she got in touch with me to express her disatisfaction and the first time she called I got her call and after she expressed everything i asked her in a polite way to please take pictures of everything she was mentiong was damaged and send it to me (This was my request to her) she sent me the pics and I acknowledged that I got it and I told her that I was going to do a follow up and will call her back. During my follow up process I noticed she kept sending more pictures which is fine so I called her and asked her to please send me everything she has that way I will be able to do provide a resolution.Once I got everything she sent I called her and we spoke over the phone and got into an agreement where I provided a refund, we were even laughing and talking about collections because we found out that we shared the same hobby and passion. We finished our conversation the best way possible since she agreed to the refund amount and I closed the case the same day that we spoke Dec 28th I sent her an email stating '' I acknowledge I've been getting all your pictures and corrective actions have been taken with the movers besides the refunded provided for $90. You should be getting that money soon if you still don't have it let me know so I can do a follow up'' Hope you had an amazing Christmas and I wish you a happy end of the year and happy new years full of Prosperity
We moved her back on Dec 16th and we got a resolution until Dec 28th because every time I was calling her was going thru voicemail and I understand ********************************* is a busy person.
My surprise was that on January 17th she sent me again a new email stating that she was not happy with the refund amount which I did not reply back because the case is already closed and 1 month and several weeks later she called me stating that I promised her that her case was submitted to the insurance company which is not accurate otherwise I would have never sent money back to her and she said OH SORRY I THOUGHT THE MONEY YOU REFUNDED BACK WAS FOR THE INCONVENIENCE ONLY, YOU KNOW THE WAY I FELT and I was like what? we were having a conversation where we were not getting into any agreement and that frustrated her and she ended up the call using the ***** word towards my person and she hung up.
Hope this reply helps understanding better the situation and again I cannot refund you anymore money
