On July 27, 2023, we requested service through American Home Shield which they gave the order to a company by the name of Evolution Plumbing LLC, located at *************************************************************************. Evolution Plumbing LLC sent a technician to our rental property because we had a problem with the shower valves and the sink not draining. The technician made it out to the site and asked the tenant if she was renting or was she the owner. We did not understand what difference it made rather she was renting or if she was the owner. The technician informed us that the piping in the wall would have to be modified to accept the new valve in order to replace the valve which would cost $987. We told him that that was ridiculous, all you have to do is replace the stems. My wife and I went out to the property the next day and noticed it was just a stripped ****, a $9 part that Evolution Plumbing LLC tried to charge us $987. In regards to the sink, the tenant informed us that the sink still was not draining properly. Before we talked to the technician about the valves the tenant had already informed us that the technician came and left, and the sink still was not draining properly. We called the technician and he told us that he had snaked the sink. We asked him to come back and fix it to the tenants satisfaction, but he said if he came back, it would be $246. When we went to check everything the next morning, the sink was still not draining properly. So, I fixed it myself and when I turned the water on, I noticed the hot water did not come on, so the hot water stop was turned off. I cut it back on which I did not understand why it was off. The only thing that came to my mind was he wanted the tenant to call them back out so he could come back out again and charge us $246 out of pocket. We paid American Home Shield $75 to send Evolution Plumbing LLC to fix our plumbing issues and now we see that they were trying to over charge and take advantage of us. We would love for the outcome to be that we get our $75 back and an apology from Evolution Plumbing LLC. Evolution Plumbing LLC gets an F and no one should use this company or they will be overcharged. This is the main reason we left American Home Shield.

Hi Mr. ***** **************, we received your work order through American Home ****** regarding an issue with a shower valve, and plumbing stoppage. When the technician arrived on site, he noticed that the shower valve was a dual handle shower valve which are no longer code approved. All newly installed shower valves must have a thermal mixing valve installed to prevent scolding. This makes repairing the existing valve a liability, and replacement was recommended. Your policy through AHS did not cover code upgrades to existing equipment and due to this we offered a quote that was well under the retail cost to install a brand-new single handle, thermal mixing shower valve. ******* averages for shower valve replacement costs are well over $1200.00. For the stoppage there was foreign objects located in the drain line (plastic like material) American Home Shield asked for photos of the cause of the stoppage and when we provided those photos to American Home Sheild, they then proceeded to deny your claim. We offered a retail bid of $246.00 to snake the drain out to the main, which again is well under the regional average. As for the angle stop located under the sink, the tenant mentioned to the tech that it had a drip. Ramses then replaced the angle stop which was covered under the home warranty policy. He must have accidently left the angle stop turned off. This was an honest mistake and had no malicious intent behind it. These things you are saying we tried to charge you for are all provisions in which the policy you had with the home warranty company did not cover. We never charged you anything directly we only gave an estimate of what it would cost to repair the items of your concern. As far as the service fee you were charged by American Home ******, you would have to take that up with them directly. We have no control over their finances, and we never received any payment for you directly, so we could not refund you this amount even if we wanted to.

There was nothing wrong with the shower valve.  Your technician misdiagnosed and it is a triple handle not a double. It was only a stripped k*** that needed to be replaced which I replaced. Furthermore, there was no reason for your technician to cut the stop off. It was not leaking. The only thing that was wrong with the drainage is that the stopper needed to be readjusted, which I also did. Would you please provide me with your technicians name and journeymans number?
