On our April **** ALL Solar Credit we had been building up since December 2023 were removed from our account. We were told it was because "Excess Credit was removed after 12 months of Service", but their own terms of service says and I quote "Any excess credits will expire after 12month or when the account is terminated and can not be monetized in any other form." Implying that they only expire 12 months after acquiring them. In fact with the way they are managing this the credits we earned in March are IMPOSSIBLE to use since they expire at the beginning of April BEFORE the bill is calculated. The entire point of using this Solar buyback plan is to build credit in the winter to use in the summer but because of this deceptive and frankly fraudulent wording that is actually impossible.

Almika Solar is strictly an electricity provider, we do not sell, install or finance solar panel systems, I believe her issue is with Almika Energy or Almika Renewable Finance, they can be contacted at: ************************************************ or by phone: ************.

They have made tons of promises that my light bill would be cheap but its still expensive , They still haven't finished the job and its been almost a year, they left equipment in my backyard and still haven't picked it up . Every time I try to get in contact with the company or their financing company they dont answer my calls and when they do they say they're going to do something about it but they never do . I'm tired of waiting i just want my money back , want a way to get out of the contract and for them to pick up their things , and for them to repair ******* because they damaged it

We are Almika Solar, we are strictly an electricity provider, we have nothing to do with the sale, installation, maintenance or financing of solar panel systems. That being said, ***************************** does have an account with us for electricity service for location: **********************************************************, the account number is ******, they are billed based on the data that is reported to Smart Meter ***** from their solar panel system through their smart meter, all billing is confirmed to be correct and there are does not appear to be any issues with her meter. They have high consumption (which is not unusual for all Texans in the summer) and very little excess generation is produced by their solar panels to receive credit for. We could only suggest that they need to significantly reduce their consumption during the day when the sun isnt shining and night when the panels are not producing, make sure all of your panels are working properly, or have more panels installed. Fall and Spring months are typically lower consumption months and will likely result in lower electricity bills as seen on their much lower bills when they started service with us in April and May 2023 bills.

6 months ago, I hired The ******** ***** Company (***) to install solar panels on my home. They promised me a smooth installation process, that my energy costs would never be more than the $133 loan through Almika Financial. I have since been paying the loan and electrical bills of $200 +. They have doubled my energy costs. It took *** 3 months to file the paperwork with Oncor to get my solar metering in place and a month of me demanding to have the service I was promised before the original sales rep returned to my home, sold me on using Almika Solar as my energy provider because they guaranteed a 1 to 1 buyback of all my solar because I financed through Almika. He told me this was a special offer only available to people who financed through Almika. The rep then disappeared and never returned any of my messages. The sale's rep's LLC was called ********** Solar. Since then, Almika Solar has told me no such program exists and that I only get credits for the excess energy I generate, not ALL the energy I generated. (Oncor has confirmed this) *** says this is not true keeps and blames Almika Solar claiming there is something wrong with their metering and assuring me that they are working on a resolution. Almika denies these talks are happening. And *** has ignored my 5 requests for proof of said correspondence. *** promises they are going to send me a check to reimburse me for the bills I should not be paying, but every time I ask for the status of the check, they get angry, excuses, or they will cashapp the funds. I have been waiting for 5 months. As of a week ago, *** and Almika Solar have both stopped communicating with me. *** has also failed to finish setting up my sunny portal metering system, despite sending reps to home twice, who were unaware of how to finish the process I feel like I've been swindled and am facing a 25-year $40,000 loan for a product that was supposed to save me money and a 24 year warranty with a company that will not speak to me.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/11/23) */ Contact Name and Title: Laura - Resolutions Team Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: ******************************* To be clear, Mon 11/21/2022 5:03 PM, this was the first and only notice received from BBB in regards to **** ******* - Account # ******, we made repeated attempts to explain to him how the solar panels and buy back plan works. Almika SOLAR is strictly his electricity provider. I believe his solar panels were purchased from Almika ENERGY (which is not Almika SOLAR), his panels are financed by another company called: Almika Renewable Finance (also not Almika Solar): his panels were installed by ******** ***** Company and Oncor is his TDSP (Transmission Distribution Service Provider), Oncor is responsible for the interconnect meter installation, operation and maintenance. Attached is email chain of communication with Mr. *******. If he thinks there is a problem with his solar panels he needs to contact who he purchased them from or who installed them as it is not Almika Solar who can fix an issue with his panel production. Our billing is correct for data received from Oncor and Smart Meter Texas, his buy back ratio has been 1:1, (although it was only guaranteed for the first billing period, then can become variable as explained in email), see section highlighted in purple on email chain and 1:1 buy back ratio is also reflected on all bills that have generated thus far, copy of last two bills are also attached. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/11/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) - I have submitted no less than 6 tickets to Almika Energy asking for a call back so a human being can explain the entirety of what they send in the emails, which is mostly esoteric Jargon. Before the communications breakdown with APC, they responded to my tickets. After I asked if they were talking to APC on my behalf, Almika Solar stopped responding to my emails. Now my electrical provider refuses to take my calls. - As was explained in the initial complaint, Almika Solar says the problem is with my production. APC says the problem is with Almika Solar's metering. When I go to Almika Solar with this information. There is no attempt at a resolution. They don't reach out to APC or Vice versa. Meanwhile, I the middle man in this situation keep getting told the problem is other guy and no one is willing to explain it to me. Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2022/11/30) */ I just spoke with Mr. *******, explained that there is nothing wrong with his billing or buy back ratio of 1:1 for the time he has been with Almika Solar (his electricity provider), and confirmed that we have not had any communication with ******** ***** Company or Almika Energy in regards to a problem with his metering &/or panel generation, if he was told that he would not have an electricity bill it was not from Almika Solar, he confirmed he was told this by American Power Company, it comes down to the fact that his panels clearly do not generate enough surplus to cover what he consumes, he would have to generate a surplus of about 1-1/2 times what he consumes to cover energy charge from us and the pass thru charges from Oncor to have a bill that is close to $0. His dispute is with Almika Energy (who he purchased his panels from) and/or ******** ***** Company (who installed his panels) they clearly underestimated his usage when they sold and installed 19 solar panels on his house. I have removed the early termination fee from his Almika Solar 24 month contract should he choose to go with another provider. Consumer Response /* (2000, 17, 2022/12/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Almika Solar has agreed to let me out of my contract without any penalties given that I was duped by a third party with the promise of not having an electrical bill.
