My vehicle was towed to ****'s *********************************************** after a vehicle accident. I did not choose this location due to being unconscious and rushed to the hospital after the accident. After leaving the hospital, I had to be taken to their location to pickup keys to my home from my vehicle. At the time no one at Chub's towing provided me any information about the cost of my vehicle being held at their location. After two days of my vehicle being held at their location, I was told the cost would be $761.06 to pickup my vehicle, and I would be charged an additional $350 for them to tow my vehicle to my home. Although I told them I was on the way, I had to stand outside of their location for almost an hour with no one there. When I called while standing at the gate of their location, I kept being told it could take up to two hours for someone to arrive. When someone finally showed up, I was charged $788.59 instead of what was quoted to me due to using my debit card for payment. I was told they charge an additional fee for credit card payments while I was at the location, not when I called in asking for the cost of picking up my vehicle. I am very disappointed in my experience with this towing company. For someone who had just been in a vehicle accident, damaged their vehicle and was rushed to the hospital, I feel I should have been treated with respect, care and not overcharged for using my debit card and for my vehicle only being there for two days.Business response

Vehicle was release on a Saturday, Normal business hour when office staff is *********** are Mon-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. Hours are posted on gate. Credit card fees are charged as most business do, it is the ****************
to use this form of payment and are advise of charge before transactions is done. We do have a call center that is in operation 24/7. All customers need to do is call and have vehicle information to have any questions answered.
Our fees reflect the cost of doing ******************* Towing (Police towing) which include but not limited to, staffing for 24/7/365 service , insurance, equipment to handle any Incident, fuel, insurance, etc.

I am rejecting this response because: if this business thinks their response is satisfactory we will have to agree to disagree. They received my vehicle on a Thursday, which is the first day they had any contact with me. At that time they did not actively inform me of any charges for my vehicle. When they spoke with me on the phone on Saturday about picking up my vehicle, they did not inform me of any fee of paying with a debit card. Most businesses do NOT charge a fee of paying with a card, only this business does when you arrive at their business. I am requesting that this business at the very least refund me of this charge since they failed to inform me after charging me a significant amount of money for two days of only having my vehicle and having me waiting and standing outside their gate for a significant amount of time waiting for them to arrive at their business when they knew I was on the way to pickup my vehicle along with a towing service.

My trailer had an accident. I called them to the scene. I asked the dispatcher to take my vehicle to a private location. I instructed the driver to do the same. The vehicle was towed to there yard. I called to verify how much & was told an amount around $640-$650. Those where not exact words just the price range I recall. When I arrived to pay the bill an hour later was now over $11000.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/01/12) */ Customer called dispatch office for us to recover turned over end dump trailer. Upon arrival at location the accident was much more than described over phone. Actual accident was Tractor and End Dump turned over in ditch, resting on roof. There was a Hazmat spill, The Kaufman County Sheriff Office had to respond. This call was handled and we have settle with individual.
