      I took out loan from this company and asked them to change my billing dates. I was told that they would change my billing date at any time during my loan period. I asked them to move my date the 3rd of every month. They refused to do so and continue to charge me late fees. I have always paid on time and I am only asking to move my billing period.

      On August 14, 2024, Mr. ******** deposited a live check for $1,256 issued by Sun Loan Company. The loan was assigned to the Sun Loan branch office in ***************. The loan called for a total payback of $157 a month for 8 months.
      When Mr. ******** deposited the check, a Consumer Credit Disclosure was attached to the loan check, which included the payment due date information. The disclosure states that the payments are due monthly beginning one month from the Date of Contract, which would be the date the check was deposited. We have  attached a copy of the loan check and loan agreement along with our response.
      On September 17, 2024, the St. **** ****** office contacted Mr. ******** regarding his payment. Mr. ******** stated he believed that he was not due until the following month and stated that he would not be able to make a payment until October 3, 2024. At the time, he was advised of his payment due date and advised that he would incur a late fee due to the missed September payment.
      On October 3, 2024, Mr. ******** made his monthly payment of $157.00 and paid a $15.00 late fee for the month of September 2024. On October 5, 2024, Mr.********, called the branch office and stated that he needed to change his due date to the 3rd of each month because this is when he receives his income. Our notes indicate that Mr. ******** did not provide the branch staff with an option to respond to his request prior to his disconnecting the call.
      The District Manager has reviewed the account and discussed the Sun Loan Operations procedures with the branch staff to confirm they understand the company policies.
      Mr.******** can contact the branch office in ************ on Monday November 4, 2024,to request a refinance of his loan so that his due date will be closer to the third of each month as he requested.
      If Mr. ******** has any questions, he can contact Sun Loan Company at ************* and ask to speak with ***** *****, Compliance Manager.

      On August 21, 2024, Mr. ******* took out a loan for $1,375 at the Sun Loan, ******, ** office, which called for a total payback of $137 a month for 10 months with the first due date beginning on September ******** On October 7, 2024, ******** *******, Mr. ******** spouse, made an online payment.

      On August 21, 2024, a **** trace report was run to obtain a correct phone number for Mr. ******** On October 1, 2024, and October 4, 2024, ******** *******, and ****** *******, who were listed on the **** trace report, were contacted in an attempt to reach Mr. ******** The Branch did not contact Mr. ******** daughter as he stated in his complaint. The District Manager confirmed that the Branch followed Sun Loan Company operation procedures and instructed the Branch to notate the account so that Mr. ******* will be the only one they call going forward as he has requested in his complaint. A copy of the loan contract, signed loan check, any payment history are included with our response.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      They are not being truthful. ******** ****** IS my daughter, NOT my spouse. They are lying about that and the fact that they say SHE paid them. It's not true at all. These are people with no qualms about lying. As I said, contact ME personally at ************ or no one. Their website is completely inadequate,  no way to change your information or way of paying. They take credit or debit cards and nothing else. I've complained to the ************************** about their underhanded tactics, as well.

      I recently learned that this business contacted several individuals from my past, people I havent spoken to in years and never listed as references or contacts on any application. This outreach was apparently regarding an outstanding balance, though my payment due date has not yet passed.

      I have been dealing with this company for several years I started out with one loan paid it off. I then made the mistake of opening another They have very high interest Even so I made all my payments on time I am a senior on a fixed income Its been very HARD Every single time I have come to them with any issues instead of allowing me to RENEGOTIATE the loan at a lower payment rate they INSIST I have to start a new loan Each time I am offered a few hundred dollars With the very low amount I have borrowed and what I have paid back in all these years they have made almost FIVE TIMES the amount of money I have literally borrowed. Yet I have kept up my payments even though every time the loan restarted so did the interest and the payments went up I have not been quiet about how difficult this has been I went to the person I have been dealing with from the initial loan which is a very nice person and we have a good relationship but she is an EMPLOYEE! And its so stupid the way they do business I have moved several times yet I have to keep going back to HER and forget ONLINE access thats NEVER happened They also are very slow in reporting any POSITIVE feedback they CLAIM they report monthly but I have NOT seen that until NOW when I am having problems I fell on hard times I was unable to make a payment I dont want to ruin my credit not with all I have already lost I was offered a renegotiation with lower payments and interest if I was willing to take a hit on my credit for ONE month I refused made the payment. They reported it late which later they admitted it was a mistake I even got an apology but the next month again was unable to make payment so I went ahead and made the negotiation deal and made the lower payment NOW the company is reporting me as 90 days late INCLUDING JULY which its just now the first of the month and my new payment date was also changed I disputed and this is what they updated it to ITS A LIE and it has TANKED my credit I AM SICK about this

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I recently reported to the BBB regarding the previous complaint I had against this company that it had been resolved but to my surprise it has not. I had made a promise to Sun loan that if they did right by me I would drop the complaint. So they closed my account Marked it paid in full but are still reporting falsely to the credit bureaus. They have changed their report 3 times in this last month because of my complaints I had no intentions of not paying my debt they made the deal to take off interest and lower my payments because I was struggling and asked for help In the 2 and a half years I've been their customer and several loans I have never been late or missed a payment So I guess they realized it was the course of least resistance to just close it now. But all I cared about was my credit report and here they are again reporting that I'm 90 days late and that's a lie I was late one month they carried over the late fee to the next month marking it 60 days late that month to which I was not late I paid less because we had an agreement **** July 1 they reported me 90 days late when my payment isn't due till the 16th and they had me in arrears of over $500 with all these late fees. They forgave that. But they would not report the correct information to the credit bureaus hence my complaints continued so they take it upon themselves to close the account marked paid in full I was grateful at first now only to find they are now reporting me 90 days late again and that is a lie!! The bad credit report is the whole nature of all my complaining! I feel just closing it out was for their own benefit not for mine I was relieved but I fully intended on paying my FULL debt because they reneged on our agreement and ruined my credit for nothing! They can't have it both ways I wanted the true report which is 30 days late not 90 now they have closed it with that lie! I was late one month I paid less one month and paid a full payment in July that is not 90 days late!  Desired Resolution:  Correction to a credit report

      This is my 3rd complaint against this company in less than a month I was informed with the first complaint they were NOT responding I do not find this surprising since they have NO PROOF of their false claims that they have reported to the credit bureaus of late payments. I was late in March or you can call it early April payment but they charged me a late fee they carried over for 90 days which they forgave then re added it They have changed my credit report my balance late pay report 5 times in the last month I never ignored them I said I was having problems so they renotiated with me to pay less and remove interest which explain why I paid less in June I went back to the original payment and paid early in July to correct my credit report and also because the adjusted the balance with ZERO PAST DUE **** cant have it both ways. I was emailing them calling them disputing on the credit bureaus so they take it upon themselves to close the account mark it as paid I said I would drop the BBB complaint if they made it right so I reported to BBB it was resolved but it is NOT resolved because when they did that the last report they made they READDED the late charges they had forgiven me for and reported it as closed but 90 days in arrears ITS A LIE plain and simple and the original balance was low enough I was planning on paying it off COMPLETELY on Aug 3 I informed them of this which is why they CLOSED it and did so without informing me It came as a complete surprise but NOW I see why they did cause now I cant do ANYTHING and they are bombarding my inbox with spam with this AI responses to my multitidues of emails and it says to respond if I dont agree and THOSE are bouncing back with this AI repsonse I am providing PROOF I was late in March They charged a late fee and then carried that over for 3 months I paid early April **** I missed ONE payment which would be May Paid LESS not late in June in fact EARLY and early in July Due date is the 16th ONE late NOT 3  Desired Outcome:  Correction to a credit report; I want the balance adjusted on the credit as payoff was less and I planned on doing that Aug 3 They reported original balance and we had a DEAL in place They reneged I DID NOT; Billing adjustment

      Regarding Ms. ****** concern about the credit reporting on her Sun Loan account #**** dated October 16, 2023, on February 13, 2024, the Sun Loan Branch Manager spoke to ************* where she agreed that she would pay $100 a month for 13 months and $34 the last month beginn2024,on March 24, 2024, and she stated that she understood that the account would be reported delinquent. Ms. ***** agreed that by paying $100 per month instead of the original loan payment of $184 per month, she understood that this was not a full payment and would cause the account to become delinquent.


      On July 2, 2024, when the Regional Manager spoke with Ms. ****** she admitted that the missed March and April payments were the cause of the delinquent credit reporting. The Regional Manager asked Ms. ***** why she continued to make inaccurate statements about Sun Loan reporting her payments delinquent and she openly admitted that it was a result of her missing payments and that she had an issue with the large monthly payment since the 3rd quarter of 2023, but we have no record of her discussing this matter with anyone in the ************* or otherwise. Ms. ***** hung up on the Regional Manager before she could offer her another payment arrangement, nor did she return her call.

      On July 3, 2024, Ms. ***** made an online payment with the Branch manager and stated that she would continue to make payments of $184 until the account was paid off. She stated that she no longer had any complaints and was no longer upset with Sun Loan but that she could not take back the initial Better Business Bureau complaint, but she would let them know it was resolved if they called her.


      On July 18, 2024, Ms. ***** telephoned the Branch to complain that her loan balance was overstated and that we are the credit reporting is incorrect. On July 23, 2024, the District and Regional Manager reviewed the account and made the decision to expense the balance of the loan.

      On July 28, 2024, Ms. ***** submitted an indirect dispute claiming that Sun Loan gave her credit for the late fees and then added them back when we closed the account. She claims that we did not discuss this with her and that her loan was never 90 days late. After reviewing the account,the District Manager updated the account so that the April and May  ************************************************************************************************************* full *********************************************************** ***** but was unable to leave a voice message.

      We have reviewed the credit reports and found that Equifax,Experian, and *********** are reporting the account correctly as paid in full,60 days late. We have requested ******** review their credit report as it is reporting the May and July 2024 credit data that was provided to them by our system service provider. We have included copies of the credit reports along with our response.


      We continue to receive indirect disputes from Ms. ***** and have responded to them correctly with the account status as paid in full 60 days late.

      If Ms. ***** has any further questions, she can call Sun Loan corporate office at ************ and ask to speak to ***** *****,Compliance Manager.

      This an account was closed. When I filed a dispute over the fact that they were increasing it every month despite it being closed, they reopened it and are still charging every month. I want this balance to go back to what it would have been before they played foul with still charging me every month. If my account was closed, they should not have been charging me every month. I just want this monthly charge to stop, and to resolve what is actually owed from the loan. They would have to correct my credit report.

      I am rejecting this response because: when an account is saying Closed on the credit report, interest should stop accruing. I am unable to work. I am not disputing the actual account. Just that the interest should have stopped when it was Closed. Then, magically when I tried to dispute this fact, it was taken off of Closed and reopened.

      I had an unsecured loan with this company for over a year. Was making monthly payments and was asked if I would like to have my loan updated. I stated yes, and was told that a certain amount would go into my account. It never did, I called them a few times, they said they would check into it and return my call which they never did. Then they started calling me, I told them the issue each time, and they said again they would check into it and call me back. Then they started calling family members saying they could not reach me by phone. I want them to stop calling family and handle themselves.

      On August 28, 2023 ************************* took out a loan in the amount of $900 from Sun Loan located in *****, **. This loan called for a total payback of $90 per month for 10 months. The loan proceeds were funded on August 28, 2023 to a U.S. Bank card ending 8785 in **************** name. Between October 11, 2023 January 3 2024, ************** made several payments (see attached response for additional payment details).
      No other payments were received prior to the loan charging off June 30, 2024, for non-payment.
      In **************** complaint, she states that the Sun Loan branch office made contact with her family members. To reach **************, the Sun Loan branch contacted the account references she provided on August 28, 2023,when she took out the loan.  Her account was notated not to contact ************** or her account references.
      In **************** complaint, she states that she requested an update.After investigating the account, we could not locate any record of an application being taken for an update or a refinance of the loan. On February 21, 2024, the **************** Representative spoke to **************, but ************** was unwilling to allow the **************** Representative to assist her with the loan and ************** hung up on the **************** Representative.
      On July 2, 2024, the Compliance Analyst researching her complaint spoke with ************** in an attempt to obtain additional information and insight into the complaint; however, ************** was unhappy that we were unable to provide her with an answer to the situation and requested not to be called again when it was stated that we were looking into the situation further.
      ************** is requesting a billing adjustment, but Sun Loan does not offer billing adjustments. If ************** would like to settle the account or has any further questions, she can call the Sun Loan **************** at ************** and ask to speak to *********************, Compliance Manager.

A CHARGE OFF ACCOUNT CAN NOT HAVE A BALANCE WITHOUT SENDING ME A 1099-C TO CANCEL OUT THE **** WITH IRS SINCE THIS SHOWS A BALANCE IT MAKES IT TAXABLE INCOME THEY DID NOT REPORT THIS CHARGE OFF TO THE **** I ASK THAT ACCOUNT BE REMOVED ASAP

      I am not liable for this debt with Sun Loan and do not have a contract with Sun Loan Company. They did not provide me with the original statement or application when I asked. This was requested 30+ days ago. I reviewed my Consumer Reports and noticed that there was an inaccurate account(s) on my credit report. I contacted Sun Loan Company and asked for them to investigate & remove the inaccurate account from my consumer report that they are illegally reporting and I requested specifically the alleged original application bearing my signature and they have not been able to provide such proof to me. This is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and these disputed items may not appear on my credit report if they can't be verified by any evidence or proof.
