Braces fully paid, they are just working on the final stages. During this 2 year process, we had to move to another state due to career changes. We keep on driving to ***** (from ********) for the appointments. We have contemplated getting our own dentist in the new state we are currently in, but the staff at Smiley says that if we get a new dentist, we will have to start all over with the braces process, and most likely be fully billed with the new dentist. This makes us just want to finish the process with Smiley since we are almost done. Our last appointment was 2 months ago. They gave us a follow up appointment for November 24, 2023. We immediately reminded them that that particular day is the day after thanksgiving, but they assured us they were going to be open. In fact, I got appointment reminders a few days before the appointment and as usual, I Confirmed through text. I even got a text back from them, acknowledging my confirmation. After a 16 hour drive to the appointment, the doors at Smiley are locked and we immediately contact them via live chat on their website. They told us that they are closed. We asked for time off of work, drove 16 hours for this appointment, and confirmed my appointment via text, and now they are closed. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, very careless staff!! Who is going to reimburse me for my time and cost of the trip, AND my time off of work! This is not the first time this happens. We have gone to our appointments before, where they had no clue we were on the schedule, so they have had to "fit us in" a time slot, even at times sending us to another Smiley location just to fit us in. How hard does it have to be to make and keep a proper appointment. We are driving 16 hours to these appointments, spending money on gas and hotels, and asking for time off of work, risking our safety during holiday traffic, ect. All for nothing! All for their irresponsibility!!
