October 2019 I contracted South Texas Solar Systems Inc. (James Heibert owner ) to install and maintain my solar panel system. As of October 15, 2024 I can not reach anyone in the company to continue my services. ZERO star rating

They have not completed our system, don't answer phones or emails. Have had run around regarding information on our solar installation. System has been installed, we were told " waiting for CPS to finalize". Then, a month later, ******, office mgr., said we needed a part, which would be in next week. And cannot get through to anyone.

It took them about 5 months to start building the structure to hold the solar panels onto my property.Another month to attach the solar panels.Another 5 months to hook up the Solar panels to my electrical grid.During those 5 months I was paying for the Solar Panels while also paying my electricity bills. Now every other week my Tesla inverters produce 1/3 the energy they are supposed to because it takes a week for them to come out and fix the issue.I really wish South Texas Solar would help assist me financially.

My mother purchased and paid in full a Tesla Solar Powerwall two years ago and has not received it. She calls every month and is told they will pass along the message. Now they claim to not have received any phone calls. I am on the phone with ****** who says she cannot do anything to help unless she can get a hold of the owner, *************************.

South Texas Solar failed to pay the contractor for fixing the damages they caused during the installation of a solar system on my roof. I contacted ***** (the owner) and offered to pay 1/2 of the costs. He agreed but then ignored the contractor and refused to pay him for repair work done in December 2023. The contractor stated he would put a lien on my home unless I paid the remaining balance - I then paid the contractor in full a total of ($2,000.00) and emailed the invoice to their Operations team, cc'ing the owner - requesting the company to reimburse me the costs I paid to repair the damages they caused. I am fully dissatisfied the quality of the installation, the damages created to my roof, ceiling of my home & how payment for the damages to my home has gone ignored. I do NOT recommend South Texas Solar to anyone going forward. I submit this complaint after repeated emails, texts to South Texas Solar in hope the reimburse me the amount they agreed to pay.

I would highly advise you not to use South Texas Solar Systems. When we chose South Texas Solar Systems, we decided to get solar panels, 2 power walls and new breaker boxes. At the time, the power walls were out of stock so we knew we would have to wait months before the system would be up and running. After we signed, our sales rep told us that, even though they did not have the power walls yet, we should go ahead and get the solar panels on the roof while they had those in stock in case they had a shortage of those once the power walls arrived. We took his advice and they put the solar panels on our roof. Immediately after they went up, we started getting notices from the bank financing our loan that we needed to start paying our full monthly payments. We called South Texas Solar Systems to understand what was going on because the loan contract we signed says we would not need to start paying until ALL of the equipment was installed and we were clearly still missing our power walls and breaker boxes. They acknowledged that they should not have submitted paperwork saying work was completed to the bank and reimbursed us for the first 2 months of our payments. After that, they told us they would no longer be reimbursing us monthly, but would instead pay us one lump sum when the job was complete. It took another 10 months before work was finished and now they refuse to answer our calls and the owner has changed his email so we get a bounce back message. They still owe us around $3,500. In addition, the reason we chose South Texas Solar Systems was because they said they would do twice a year cleaning and inspection of the panels (for the first 5 years) and once annually for another 20 years (as a differentiator from other companies). The first cleaning was originally scheduled for Oct 30, 2023. They no call, no showed and we have not been able to get them to reschedule us yet to come out for a cleaning.

We 47k for a solar system and powerwall for our relatively small house which is only **** square feet. The salesman, *************************, indicated that during the summer months, the system would generated 110% of our power needs. There are only 3 of us living in the house and I travel a lot for work. Our power needs are small. That being said, we are still paying over 80 to 100 dollars a month for power. We had CPS come out and verify that the meter was reading correctly and it was. ****** indicated, verbally, that the system would generate at least 15/20 Kwh and it only generates 10kwh and it certainly doesn't generate 110% of our power needs during the summer. I've asked the company to come out and fix the solar panels or add additional panels at their cost, because of the promises and guarantees that were given. This is a deceptive sales practice and I am in the process of obtaining an attorney so that I can have the panels removed and/or refunded. To date, the owner continues to ignore my phone calls and any help that I have asked for.
