On September 1, 2022 , I ***** ********* contracted Mr. John O**** / Owens Custom Fence to install a New Wood Privacy Fence in my backyard. The description on his invoice gives an itemized list of materials and work to be done. The total cost is $6000. For the complete job. I gave Mr. John O**** $3000. down. The remainder of $3000. Upon completion. Job was to begin September 2, 2022 and completed by Monday September 5, 2022. After he set the poles in concrete to set up, he returned the next day and advised me that he had an issue with his Bank Account and at that point he asked me for an additional $1000. the next day. I gave John the $1000. As of September 7, 2022 he was still working on my fence. I had to leave to travel to Melissa Tx. to have lunch with my 2 granddaughters on Grandparents Day at ********** Elementary. As I was leaving my home John asked me for the remaining balance of $2000. , he also asked me if I could pre pay for the wood stain which he can't apply now, but stated he needs to wait 30 days for the fence to dry out. I agreed to pay him an additional $1000. for the wood stain, which he noted on his paid in full invoice he gave me before I left Denison. He documented on his second invoice the date of October 8, 2022 to come back and stain the fence. Since Sept 7th after I returned from Melissa Tx. I noticed he left the job incomplete. Only 1 of the contracted 2 Gates were installed and a 50 foot section of the fence he was working on when I left is sitting approximately 10 to 12 inches above the ground level. Due to the fact I have 3 small dogs, one which is old, blind, and death, I am no longer able to let them out into my backyard. As of today I have recorded Texts and Phone calls to Mr. John O**** which he has failed to correspond with me to resolve this issue. I contacted John O**** again today September 26, 2022 and still no response. At this point I'm certain he's not coming back and he has decided to keep the $1000. Which needs to be Refun
