When a family member that I was around tested positive for Covid, I knew I needed to have a test done. I went to Genesis Medical Group’s drive thru testing on August 22, 2021. I filled out paperwork while in my car and they gave me the swab to stick up my nose and I left. I received the negative results and never heard from them until June 7, 2022 stating I owed $30.00 of a $627.68 bill for an office visit and the test from 8/22/2021. When I returned from vacation, I tried calling them numerous times to question the bill. They never got in contact with me. I paid the $30.00 so it would not ruin my credit. I am requesting a refund of the $30.00 due to the fact that I never had an office visit and the test was suppose to be free. It was my first Covid test ever. I feel it is a scam and should be reimbursed. The test was in August, 2021 and the bill came in June, 2022. My daughter-in-law was able to reach them and her over a thousand dollar bill was deleted. I feel they did not contact me was because I had paid the bill. I was charged $30 and my wife was charged $89.10 for same test.
