I'm gonna give Merrick Bank Zero...3 / 4 times someone altered my credit card...I actually have good credit and my card was set for automatic deposit...however with only $40.00 someone was able to dismis my automated credit and caused a late fee. They would not reverse the fee and was adamant that they wouldn't. I don't like business people who are after illegal money...I will not close the account but Never will I ever use it again.Review from Sandra E

I was not informed that when I received my card it would already have ***** deducted from it for an annual fee. I called customer service and got the" I'm sorry." "I understand." Blah blah blah. Ridiculous and they probably charge interest on the fee.Review from Avis S

after several years of never being late, i was late due to hospitalization. the late charge was reversed however my credit increase was denied. They tried to blame trans union who denied stating I had perfect credit. I closed my account and will never do business with this bank again.*.*****,**Review from Ramona R

I told them to close my account and I will pay on the balance. The balance at the time was like around $420.00. Now its $625.00 something like that. This place is horrible and should have legal file against them. I ask them to close this account back in August and now its November and they are steady adding late fees after I told them to close the account because I have a health issue and wanted my account close so I can pay on my balance. Never doing business with this company. ridiculously high interest charges, 95% of your payment gets applied to interest. Please avoid at all costs.Review from Kelly P

They post the payment but wait forever to take the money out of my checking account. I believe it's a game so they can return the payment and charge extra fees. Avoid at all costs!!!!!! Getting one star because I have too!!!Review from Dashavon R

I paid my balance in full. They continue to inaccurately report on my credit. I have been calling for weeks and all I get is shuffled around. No one know anything. I paid 2301 to have my account paid to 0. They are HORRIBLE. I am about to reverse my payment with my bankReview from JoAnn W

Thank goodness I never received the credit card Someone argued with me over and over that I had used it. I gave him the last 4 numbers of the only credit card I have. He kept saying thats not it. So he rushed me the card. Instead I got a nice letter stating that the card has never been used. They put my balance at zero. At least somebody there knows what theyre doing. Thank God I had this experience. Ill never bank with them.Review from Br P

This bank has a system that is consistently unworkable. It incorrectly disabled my card because the mails they sent me were not being delivered to my house (i.e. being returned.)This indicates a problem with the bank system for two reasons:1. I only signed up for ************************. 2. I had the correct mailing address on the account. I consistently get mail delivered successfully to my mailing address, so there is no reason why the mailings should not reach my house. This is especially troubling as there was no notice given to me clearly that my credit card had been disabled. What if I needed to use the card in an emergency? This indicates a bank which does not have a system that works. This should be of concern to any cardholder. A bank that cannot even get basic technology and mailing right is a bank that I cannot have confidence in. My recommendation is to not use any of this bank's services.
