Big O Tires on 31st street and wall ave in ogden utah over tightened the lugs on my wife's tire. I was stranded with messed up lug nuts that I couldnt remove and they are closed because it's sunday. I tried to call to see about emergency after-hours service because I got to get myself to work at 7am, kids to school at 8am, and my wife to work at 9am on Monday. They don't have an after-hours contact listed and their voice mail box is full, which leads me to believe that they aren't very diligent with answering customers. My wife took the van back to them today, the mechanic denied all responsibility. He claimed that even though you could see obvious damage caused by the previous tire install, it wasn't his shop's fault. He gave us a 35 dollar discount and still charged us almost 200 to remove and replace the lug nut that they damaged. I complained to the corporate headquarters. Big O needs better customer service and needs to take responsibility for damage caused by their technicians. After a few minutes of research, I learned that you can avoid this issue by using anti seize gel and proper torque.

Before taking my vehicle to them to have my tires swapped to new ones my tire sensors were also involved in being swapped to tires but they couldn't get them to scan or reprogram and on my third time going back to them they finally got one to scan but the other 3 just died all of a sudden and as they dismounted one of my wheels to try and scan/reprogram it they scratched my wheel and claim that it wasn't them because they didn't put it on a machine but I have pictures of my wheel not damaged and then when I got my keys it was damaged so it had to be damaged caused by the employee that was working on it so I definitely need to have the damage repaired and sensors replaced because all of sudden now they don't work

After my oil change and emissions, on their cameras I can be seen popping my hood to check color of oil to make sure oil had been changed. I take preventative maintenance very seriously. I usually do my own oil changes but needed emissions done anyways. After popping my hood I got into my car and noticed the TPS light was still on after I had asked them to look at it. I went back in and asked for it to be looked at again. I was told to pull in front of bay 1 and they would have a tech come look again. The tech came out with his device for TPS. Asked what year told him 2014, he then asked Chevy, I said yes. Then asked model I said Malibu. His response was oh I thought it was an Equinox, that's why the TPS light didn't clear. 54 miles after this oil change a check engine light came on code P0010. When looking at the repair manual it stated wrong oil may be cause. As to where it's 54 miles after the oil change this is the most likely cause. I called for a refunded and they refused me and said the correct oil was shown on the receipt. The tech thought my car was an Equinox which takes 5W-30. My car a Malibu takes 5W-20. The tech could have not looked to see what the computer told him to put in and just went off what he thought the vehicle was, but this possible human error I was told could never be done. Even if he read the computer he still could have grabbed the wrong oil by accident but this to Big O is not possible. I Worked for **********(****) who use the same Big O for fleet maintenance and they made mistakes had oil drain plugs not torqued down and leaking out oil. Wrong tires put onto vehicles causing damage to the driveshaft on a QX80. I was told its impossible for them to have made a mistake because the computer said it was correct. This is a blatant lie with my experience at **********. I also have pictures of oil pooling at the bottom of the oil filter yet I'm told they did nothing wrong. If the engine is damaged they should be responsible for repairs.
