I am so disappointed with my experience at Little Garage. I was recommended by a neighbor who said they were honest but I didn't find that to be the case. They were really nice and friendly when I met them... I thought, great hopefully I have found my future mechanic shop. I dropped my truck off at 8am and then they finally called me at 3:30 to let me know that my truck would cost me about $25k to fix but they would get me more specific information the following day. The next day they called and said it would be $13k. At that point I was like, this is a total scam. This is exactly what you don't want in a mechanic shop and gives mechanics a bad name. Well, I don't have $13k sitting around so I decided to pick up my truck. They certainly were not trying to win my business with that kind of quote. Just for the brakes it was going to be $3,200 - who pays that for brakes??? They said that I could pick up my truck and pay the Diagnosis fee. I said, I thought there was a free diagnosis. That is what you said. Oh you didn't read the fine print that their "complimentary inspection" was different then their Diagnosis. So then they charged me a whopping $399.00 for labor, $27.93 for shop fees (for a Diagnosis?) and $33.08 for Sales tax equaling $460. Wait, I didn't think you pay sales tax on labor. I didn't appreciate their lack of transparency about their "complimentary inspection" being different then their Diagnosis. Live and learn! Read the fine print. Ask questions. I don't know if this is their status quo or BAU but buyer beware! Now you know!

I am sorry that you didn't find our work to be satisfactory. We do a complimentary "safety inspection" on each vehicle to ensure the brakes and lights and fluids are in good condition. If this were the only things we had done, there would not have been a charge for such an inspection. You however had 3 very specific problems you had brought your vehicle in for and to diagnose the problems with the four wheel drive clunking, the oil leak, and the warning lights that were on the dash. We diagnosed each of these problems and gave you estimates to repair these issues as well as any other safety issues we found. As for our fine print, it says in big bold letters that there is a diagnostic fee for any diagnostic of any kind. You signed the form that states that and so we proceeded with the items you requested. As for our prices, we install the highest quality parts possible, especially on a heavy duty truck that would be used for towing. We offer a 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty on all of our work which does cost more than some other places. Again I am sorry if there was any misunderstanding.
