I bought a new home and moved to Arizona in Jan 2023. A few months later, I bought a new dining table (live edge table) for my house from Downeast from my local store located in Happy Valley. They informed me that they had no delivery service and directed me to the "usual person they use for deliveries" and gave me his business card and told me to arrange the delivery details with him. They had his business card alongside their own business cards at the main checkout / reception counter. I followed their instructions and arranged the delivery with him. He charged $150 for delivery and setting up of the table. The table took several weeks to arrive and the delivery guys did their job, except that when they unpacked the table we all noticed chips in the live edge table. I called the store immediately and they informed me they would deal with it and suggested I keep the table until exchanged. The delivery guys left, leaving the damaged table with me, expecting me to rearrange the delivery of the replacement table. Later the store gave me the runaround, informing me they don't do exchanges and that the table would need to be repaired. After a little battle with them, they eventually stated that I was misinformed and that a replacement table would be ordered. That replacement took several weeks (6-8 weeks?) and I had to use the same delivery guys to change out the table. Another $150 for delivery and setup, and they took the old table away. This table was fine for a few months, however, I soon noticed the table started to split and crack in multiple places. At this point, I did not want a replacement. I informed the store I wanted a full refund, and once again I used their recommended delivery driver to pick up the table. Another $150. The store refunded me for the table, but wouldn't do anything about the three deliveries I paid for. So I paid $450 for two defective tables I received, none of which I kept. The delivery charge is not included in the $1200 listed below
