I have Cigna Medicare Advantage health Insurance. I had to have some dental work and needed a crown. I know the head office person at Grandpas Dental (Teresa) and she asked me to come to Grandpas Dental for the crown. I asked her how much they would charge and she quoted me $900 to do the crown. All of the other dentist's I checked with wanted approx. $1,500. So, the first part of January , I went to Grandpas Dental and got the crown. When I gave them my Cigna Medicare Advantage card , I was very explicit to make sure they only charged the agreed upon price of $900. They billed there full price of $1,543 and were paid by my Cigna Dental on the 17th of January. I received my paperwork from Cigna Dental the following month and was upset for being overcharged. I called Teresa at Grandpas dental and asked why they charged the full price and not the agreed upon price of $900. We went back and forth for the next month or so, and on the 21st of April, I was instructed to bring a cashiers check into the office and pay for the service agreed upon price of $900 and then they ,Grandpas Dental , would reimburse Cigna Dental the $1,543 for the overcharged amount. I continued to check with Cigna Dental for the next month and no refund was ever sent back. I then was texted by there office to come by and pick up the check. I went to there offices again on the 25th of May and spoke with Abraham (the office manager) and he tried to give me my $900 back. We called into Cigna Dental and they told him that Grandpas dental could in fact reimburse and send back to Cigna Dental the over billed amount of $1,543 back into Cigna dental and it would get credited back into my account. Abraham gave me his word that he would take care of it the following week. Nothing has been done and it is now the 1st of July. Cigna Dental has called Grandpas Dental 2 more times to request the $1,543 be refunded with no success. I am hoping that Grandpas Dental will send Back the overpayment to Cigna Denta
