I am writing to warn people against Medics USA, for a number of serious safety, privacy, and compliance concerns I have witnessed. The facility did not have a crash cart available, which is an essential piece of equipment containing vital medications, supplies, and life-saving equipment for managing medical emergencies. The absence of a crash cart may cause delays in administering critical care during emergencies, potentially resulting in severe harm or even death. I noticed that several oxygen tanks were empty, which is a grave concern, as oxygen is a critical component in emergency care. The facility's failure to maintain an adequate supply of oxygen poses a substantial risk to patients requiring immediate medical attention. The medication cabinets in the facility were not secured with locks, allowing unauthorized access to potentially dangerous drugs. This lack of security increases the risk of medication theft, misuse, and abuse, which could lead to serious harm to patients and staff. I observed forms containing patient information left out in the open and not securely locked away after closing hours. This negligent handling of sensitive information violates the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and infringes on patients' rights to privacy. The facility's walls were noticeably thin, enabling me to overhear sensitive and confidential information regarding other patients' medical conditions, treatments, and personal details. This lack of privacy is a clear violation of HIPAA regulations .I discovered expired medical supplies and medications within the facility, which is a violation of regulatory guidelines and poses a potential health risk to patients receiving care. This unsafe condition needs immediate attention to protect the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. I kindly request that you think twice before visiting this facility to ensure your safety and privacy.
