I had a ****** crown put on in 2017. I paid $852 after ***** ****** my insurer covered the rest. Their office manager was convicted of insurance fraud and theft. One and a half years later in 2019 I received a letter from ***** ****** that they received a claim from my service in 2017. They rejected the claim since it was over 1/2 year ago and also I had changed jobs. Huff dentistry sent a bill for $588. After a few bills the amount went to $1188. Then sent it to collection for $1800. Previous manager is gone and despite proof of payment they have sent to collections.Business response

This is in response to the complaint from **** ******.First of all, the office manager that he referred to was NOT convicted of insurance fraud. She was convicted of embezzlement of office checks, therefore has nothing to do with patient accounts.Second, I have gone over this account with the patient multiple times. The ***** claim he is referring to shows that the amount paid was NOT a complete EOB for that service date. The patient had $3,610 worth of treatment done on 12/3/2017. He had 9 teeth worked on and a cleaning that day. The insurance paid $850.00 and we took a write off of $690.00 for that treatment on 01/03/2018. The patient sent a payment of $882.00 on 09/25/2018... 8 months later. This left a total balance owed of $1188.00. There were 17 statements sent in 2019 & 2020. He came in for another visit on 05/19/2021, which cost $420.00. The insurance paid $286.80 on 07/30/2021. The patient sent a check for $133.20 on 11/02/2021... 4 months later. Which still left the original balance of $1188.00 owed. There were 8 more statements sent to the patient without any payment before it was turned over to the collection agency.If you have any further questions, feel free to call me **************** *******Office Manager
