On April 2, 2022, I contracted Meadows Farms to do spring clean up and install plants around my yard, but they have not completed the work as per the contract. They have not refunded me for a plant that died. They overpruned a bush that continues to die in several places. They did not prune another set of bushes as described in the contract - per contract "...Euyonomous hedge would be flat topped ..starting at stoop...cut back to 3' level and levelled across". The work was for $8293.00. Meadows Farms contractors arrived July 5 and completed the work on July 6th. I first contact Meadows Farms on July 8th with my concerns. I did not receive a response and sent a follow up email on July 19th. On July 25th, someone responded. We exchange emails where I sent photos regarding the plants I was concerned about. On July 27th, I clearly listed the three concerns which I needed addressed: "1) The Geranium Karmina died the day it was planted. It dried up by the evening and has not come back. I am requesting a refund for the plant or for a new plant. 2) The Euyonomous bush was not pruned as per the contract. I am requesting that someone come back and complete the work. 3) The area that has the juniper and the japanese boxwood(?) has been overpruned and is unsightly. I would like compensation." The person stated that he scheduled an inspector to come on August 5th. The inspector called me on August 3rd, at which point I said that I wouldn't not be home August 5th after 2:30pm, so could he please arrive before then. The inspector stated that I did not need to be home when he arrived, and I said that I wanted to be home to show him the areas about which I was concerned. I called the inspector on August 5th to see when he was coming, but he did not answer the call. He arrived when I was away and left an inspection report saying all plants were alive and to keep watering. I have no faith Meadows Farms will honor their contract without outside help.Initial Complaint

I hired Meadows Farms for landscape design and planting for my house. The designer, ******************************, scheduled an appointment and we met to design the landscape and patio I wanted. I lived in my home for 26 years and had mature plants in all but one of the areas we discussed. I had previous work done by Meadows with satisfaction and my neighbor had them design and plant all of their landscape which was very nicely done. For the landscape, I requested the following: Plants and scrubs that were year-round with little to no upkeep, I requested roses which does require some hands-on which I agreed to and asked them to replace the trees they previously planted that had grown out of control and branches on the bottom of the tree died. After **** show me plants and discussed his vision, I wanted to hire Meadows Farm to design the landscape and plant in several areas of the yard. The pictures were matured greenery. I gave him a deposit of $1500. I never received the design until after about three weeks so I called the main office, they told me to contact the designer which I did and he did not get back to me. I then received a call from the main office to schedule the planting which was several weeks after the design meeting. I let them know I did not get the design. They said they would send it to me so I scheduled it for August 10 but wanted to see the design before they came. I did not receive the design until the day before planting even though I called them. They removed all my landscape which was not in the original design and then planted these very small bushes and trees. I paid the balance of 7500 even though I asked the team why they were not mature, they indicated they grew fast. Today, the trees are brown and all but a couple of the scrubs are sticks. I called to complain, inspector came out but said it takes 8 months to take. I had experts inspect the work and they said that the trees were diseased and poorly selected. It looks horrible.
