I called another company and was referred to Appliance Universe via Angies list which I did not search or contact. I had a gas stove with one unit that was not igniting and a problem with my refridgerator. They came out the week prior to service and gave me a price for the part for my fridge and part for gas range. They said it was one piece, a plate that replaced all of the igniters (under the knows as one piece) I paid $260 for parts ordered and on Friday a week later when he came to do the work on the following Fri 5/19. He repaired the fridge; however, instead of replacing the part on the gas stove, it appears he only brushed off food and it starting working. I was not in the room when work was done. I was cleaning up mess from his work after he left and removed k**** and found old k**** with food still showing. I called the company back hour later he shows up to put fridge back in place and shows me what "he took out" he said it was mine but it was clean. I did n't know about removing k**** and mine were gross underneath. He cash apped me $30 but i kept questioning him how the old was so clean and what was in place was dirty and he told me he ordered used part. I paid $175 for part for stove that he did not replace. I provided picture of the part he said was from my stove but I have 5 burners NOT 4 which is what he gave me. I was to be refunded the remaining $145 for the part he did not install. He did not email me or give me a final invoice that i requested. Just told me he did not want to lose his job of 5 years. Just because my burner starts "he said it was working what more did I want?" The REPLACEMENT PART installed that I paid for. I do not want him doing anymore work for me. I want reimbursement for the remaining cost of the part he did not install.
