I recently purchased a house to be built. Originally when I was offered the residence I was offered Hardwood floors for the kitchen area, breakfast area and foyer. As I decided to pay for upgrade for stairs, I was provided for a login to a portal i was explained all features included as standards on their portal. I asked, I was told by their sales person that everything disclosed on that portal was “standard”no upgrades were included. The portal disclosed as brands, warranties and materials to be use at the property. Disclosing as Bathroom floors, laundry area as tile for flooring. At the time I had to select the floors I was told by the floor company *** *******, **** ******* I was sent by Brookfield residential, I was told that the allowance was for vinyl floors, instead of hardwood for the kitchen, and breakfast areas. And if I wanted laminate flooring I had to pay an additional $336. I was also told that the floors for bathrooms and laundry areas were order to have vinyl instead of tile as disclosed on their portal. Even known on June 3rd I asked via email regarding those options stated by their sales person Sarah Lane, those were “standard” features for their floor plan. Also that the brand carpet listed in their portal was not the one that they allowed to have install at the residence. portal of Brookfield Residential offering a different brand, which seems of a lower quality as the brand offered on their portal. When I questioned Sarah regarding the discrepancy after the floor appointment I was informed that the portal had the IT problem and she talked to their Directors of operations & housing. When I requested twice for their contact info, instead I was provided with the areas Sales managers info. I told Sarah L***, this is Bait and switch practices, I’m requesting for the Brookfield Residential, ********** ******* ***, to provided with the options that were disclosed and offered originally.
